Adware/Toolbar thread - Antinormality - Feb 7, 2014

So there's this "Regclean Pro"...
Where the F do stupids even get that thing from...

Recently at work people bring PC's for a regular checkup (Yeah we made a special offer but still), this program is almost on EVERY computer.

Assuming someone with a little spark of knowledge wouldn't bring their pc to us.

TL;DR (stupid)Customers computers clogged with Adware.

Any other favorite hates/annoyances comming to adware/toolbars?

I also hate Bing/Ask/Whatever toolbar, nobody wants it.

You can easily get rid of these by :
  • Uninstall them from your Programs Control Panel;

  • Remove them from your browser settings;

  • Download and run Junkware Removal Tool;

  • Download and run AdwCleaner;

  • Reboot

Easy as pie.

I was not asking how to remove them but your opinion/rage/hate on those programs.

I know how to get rid of stuff like that.

My opinion on these Is based on how easy you can remove them, which means that yes they are frankly annoying bit once you know how to remove them, you don't care really after.

Using RevoUninstaller to uninstall a lot of them, like the 'Severe Weather Alerts' adware, is a great way if AdwCleaner and Junkware Removal Tool (JRT) can't remove them.

As to others... You have 1,000s of these.
  • Coupon Printer
    Severe Weather Alerts
    Snap.Do
    Conduit
    MySearchDial
    MyPCBackup
    Etc

The main factor of annoyance is that some installers do not even give you the option to NOT install them in the first instance, where some do.

Some yes are quite annoying while the others are removed in like five clicks.
