Looking for a java teacher - fierypk - Feb 13, 2014 I know java fairly well for a grade 12 student. I've been learning it on and off since grade 7 and I really like solving contest questions but I always get stuck on the fifth problem of the contest set of questions, which is supposed to be the hardest of course. I can never solve the fifth one because it requires some hardcore recursion and probably other things. I try to learn the things it requires from places but they always teach you the basics of the topic, like when you try to learn recursion online, it is the most basic form of recursion (eg factorial). That's why I would really like someone to guide me through or teach me how to solve one of these problems. The problems have to do with problem-solving more then java itself so it would be nice if you are experienced in both. If anyone can that would be much appreciated, also if you have some sites where I can learn more in depth on topics that would be appreciated as well. * - Vaws - Feb 18, 2014 I can teach you just pm me or email me @ [email protected] * - Ben121 - Feb 18, 2014 Post some of the problems here and we can talk you though them :) * - SIM-2015410 - Feb 18, 2014 If you need help, just post the problem here, and there will be lots of experienced coders who can help you. * - Barinade - Feb 19, 2014 https://projecteuler.net/problems http://docs.oracle.com/javase/tutorial/java/nutsandbolts/operators.html http://docs.oracle.com/javase/tutorial/java/nutsandbolts/flow.html http://docs.oracle.com/javase/tutorial/java/javaOO/returnvalue.html http://docs.oracle.com/javase/tutorial/java/javaOO/methods.html ^the majority of what you'll need when starting off |
