Bypass led Webcam - invisibleman - Feb 17, 2014 There's a way to bypass the LED indicator of some Webcams? * - Understalker - Feb 17, 2014 There is no way to bypass this, sorry. * - Xorex - Feb 17, 2014 In some webcams, you can turn off the LED in the Registry. Though not all. * - Goodies - Feb 17, 2014 Honestly, no. Not natively. Not that I'm aware of anyways. This goes in "Beginner Hacking" by the way. In order for this t happen, you'd have to patch and flash software to keep it off... * - DrDinosaur - Feb 17, 2014 It depends, but not generally. See: http://www.uniea.com/blog/424/researchers-discover-isight-camera-hack-that-bypasses-led-indicator * - invisibleman - Feb 17, 2014 I find some function in registry to turn off this option, but don't works. Or maybe there's some way to bypass this using ASM or editing the driver of Webcam. * - DrDinosaur - Feb 17, 2014 (Feb 17, 2014 07:41 PM)invisibleman Wrote: I find some function in registry to turn off this option, but don't works. If you can write drivers yourself ;-) I'm pretty certain that most webcam drivers are generic, hence the LED. Idk, sounds like s job for a programmer - and a really good one at that. |
