Bored? Come work on a project with me! - Mad Hatter - Feb 17, 2014 Hey HF! What is wrong with you guys!?!??! Why so lazy? Is it because there is nothing new to code. Well I felt the same way until I thought of a bright idea! It is called Ember. Ember is going to be a program that will allow users to connect to random people all over the world! You: But, Code doesn't Omegle provide that? Me: Yes it does, it also provides it's users with lots of unwanted penises and 50+ year old horny men. Ember will remove all of that, and make it so users can actually have a nice comment instead of, "19 F go download my gallery: somesite.com/virus.exe" I have already made the basic UI: ![]() A little orange for my taste but let me know what you guys think! If anyone's bored and would like to work on this project with me please PM me. But, please only PM if you are going to be dedicated to doing this project. I have had lots of people PM me and I never heard back from them. We can use a good UI coder and a person who knows sockets and tcp-ip Skype: Zelsoft PS: Yes it is the flat UI theme. In case anyone was getting butt hurt about me no stating it. * - Blixuk - Feb 17, 2014 Ok I don't wanna be a total dick but... No one is going to use this. 1. You have to download 2. You have to have an account... Already I would rather go on omegle 3. You wont have video This seems like an an awful lot of work for something only a hand full of people use for like a week then get bored of. The concept is good but unless you can code all these features to a high standard have some amazing severs to run it all and then finally push it out there its really not worth the effort. * - Mad Hatter - Feb 17, 2014 (Feb 17, 2014 09:50 PM)Blixuk Wrote: Ok I don't wanna be a total dick but... No one is going to use this. You weren't being a dick. These were all good points except for the 2nd one you don't have to create an account. One huge problem that I found when I was on Omegle with my friend that is a girl is that when she was browsing through and looking for a cute guy she would keep pressing disconnect super fast and when a cute guy did arrive she accidentally clicked the disconnect button. You can create an account if you would like to maintain contact with the person or as it says you can just, "Spark up a conversation" * - Blixuk - Feb 17, 2014 Ok, I see your point there. That would make a nice feature. But if she wasn't so picky and stopped for a minuet before just brushing past people because they're "Not cute" then she wouldn't miss the "cute" ones... (Going off topic now) But yeah, it could work out but it's going to require a lot of work. Have you started anything apart form the just the layout? * - TrackPro+ - Feb 17, 2014 I like the concept. I hope to see this project to further! * - Mad Hatter - Feb 19, 2014 (Feb 17, 2014 11:48 PM)KungFuuPandaa Wrote: I like the concept. I hope to see this project to further! Thanks panda and I like your avatar :) I think I've seen that pick somewhere else before. (Feb 17, 2014 11:04 PM)Blixuk Wrote: Ok, I see your point there. That would make a nice feature. (Going off topic now) I was trying to make the basic chat from following aeon hacks tutorials but I'm not sure if that is exactly what I need. I need them to connect to a random person everytime * - Maximum - OC - Feb 19, 2014 I am down to help get it boosted shout me when its done :) |
