Forgive my ignorance, but would a certificate by nature make the execution silent? Im asking because right now there down't seem to be an exploit. Thanks!

SJDB's no longer work even with a certificate. JDB's don't work with the newest java update either (Java 7 Update 52). Sadly, the good days are over and the only way to get a mass amount of bots is with an exploit kit which will run you some ridiculous amount like 1 grand a week.
