Polymath | Recruitment #1 - ida - Mar 12, 2014 As the description of Polymath indicates, Polymath is not a group with one specific theme or topic. Our goal is to build a group with a set of individuals with different and broad knowledge, so that we as a group can cover multiple things here on the forums. To apply for Polymath, write an application where you tell us about yourself and post it on this thread. There are no specific requirements on how you should set up your application. Please note that we will only accept members whose skill-sets match well with our requirements and show a certain indication of quality throughout the forum. Please keep the application below 150 words. Do not ask us if you have been accepted, or if we have read your application. If you get into Polymath accepted, you will notice. * - _wind - Mar 12, 2014 Making a website for my application; stay tuned! * - Gustav. - Mar 12, 2014 What I do is simple, I remove Malware and diagnose problems within a computer. I am familiar with Windows operating systems versions, XP, Vista, and 7 (I just got into 8, and I surely can't say that I know everything in and out about it). Sorry about the short application, 150, is what you wanted and I tried to keep it at a minimum 😊 * - Komodo - Mar 12, 2014 I am not the best at explain my accomplishments, but I will give it a try. I am a very simple man, and like to be on Hack Forums in my spare time. In my short amount of time in Hack Forums, I have taught, and learned from members. Hack Forums is like a second home to me, and I try my hardest to support it. My skills can very from Black, to White Hat methods (grey hat). I know things such as basic coding, Rats, Keyloggers, Computing Help, Trouble-shooting, Driver issues, etc. I know how to do things such as Marketing, and Business-Tactics. I currently own a Booter (offline at the moment) and am a Supporter for multiple things such as DataScrambler. Even though I have only been a member for a short amount of time, I would love to join Polymath to help contribute to the community. * - Aura - Mar 12, 2014 I guess I'll give it a try, just to see if I'm a worthy member to the eyes of some people. Well my name's Yoan and I'm a 3rd year IT student. I'll be graduating next year and I'll go to University where I'll go get a Bachelor in IT. I'm one of the main active helper in the Computing area, mostly in the Windows sections, the White Hat Help section, the Computer Protection and Security Alerts section and I'm starting to be more helpful in the Misc. Computer Talk and Virtual Machine sections. I've been an active helper in these sections for a few months now. I started as a normal member and I won two upgrades contest that got me to Ub3r. Recently I've been promoted to the Head Leader of The Brotherhood Computing Sector which I have the intention to take to the top, which means, I want to make that sector THE reference in the Computing area of HackForums. I assist at least 3-4 members everyday via Teamviewer and I specialize in Windows, Troubleshooting and Malwares and Viruses Analysis and Removal. If you browse the Computing area, you've probably seen me around. I don't know if my Computing knowledge is enough to be accepted in Polymath, but if it's not, I understand totally. Also, I've been named a Leader of The Brotherhood yesterday. Good luck with the group too. Also, 207 words, sorry. When he's posting, he pratically runs the White Hat Help section by himself. * - m0n0p0ly - Mar 12, 2014 My type of group. To begin, my name is Jordan/Jay and I am currently studying to become a forensic accountant. As of now, I work downtown Detroit at a major accounting firm as a payroll specialist. On top of working downtown, I have several other ventures in which I invest in bitcoin, homework service, outsourcing of work, tutoring, buying/reselling, and so forth. I am a firm believer of evolution and the big bang theory. To cut to the chase, HF is an area where it truly is survival of the fittest. With that being said, I believe I am fit for a group of this nature. Much more info but limited with the 150 word count. Thanks for the opportunity as it is appreciated. * - VRUMM - Mar 12, 2014 Recruitment thread will be closed very shortly. * - Flanked - Mar 12, 2014 Can I be in a usergroup? Cause I can't apply via UserCP. * - Тeen - Mar 12, 2014 I'd like to be a part of Polymath because I can contribute regarding the social media/marketing/money making aspect of this group. It'd be nice to learn what other members have to offer too. I'm a merchant. * - Happeh - Mar 12, 2014 My main subject and knowledge would be music. Not only am I a big fan of music and can help with technical support, criticisms or recommendations, but I actually work within a music store, meaning my knowledge goes beyond just the normal things people can Google. I have working and in-depth knowledge that has accumulated over three years and would be happy to offer advice and more to people looking for something more niche. I also play several instruments and own quite a few. I’m always a happy guy and very sociable so communication would never be an issue. Something else I can provide is my knowledge on Youtube. I’m currently the head moderator on Maker Studios forums, with Maker being the largest Youtube network around. Being Moderator means I can be responsible and can lead with no issue at all; again, happy to help with any support needs and such in this area too. Thanks for reading. * - m0n0p0ly - Mar 12, 2014 (Mar 12, 2014 03:56 PM)Flanked Wrote: Can I be in a usergroup? Cause I can't apply via UserCP. Reading is fundamental. Try doing it sometime. 🤦♂ * - Hidden™ - Mar 12, 2014 I am DarkTrace and have been apart of this community for a few years now. My main areas of contributions are to giveaways and controversial topics as well as small guides and tutorials. My skill-set varies widely as I run a website and constantly keep money in motion. That is not to say I do not save here and there but to make it you have to spend it. As far as networking goes, I am what I consider knowledgeable in the field of routers / wifi/WPA/WPA2 cracking. I have a giveaway almost all of the time and tend to weave in and out of as many different sections as I can. The Lounge would be my main posting area but whose isn't? If you have any further questions please send a personal message my way. Thank you very much and thanks for reading. * - McFlurry - Mar 12, 2014 Good luck to everyone one applying. Please take your time with your application and please do not rush it. Only a select few will be added. * - Saint - Mar 12, 2014 ![]() Hello Lani, Sh1eld, and members of Polymath, My name is Mitchell, i will be 20 the 4th of april, so a couple of days left, I always look for opportunities to learn and to share my knowledge, I am experienced in a couple of things, 1, GFX, 2, Web developing, 3, Coding, 4, Money making, 5, SE, And many more things, but i cannot tell them cause of the 150 words, Me applying for this groups means alot, i waited on a particular group to open and here you are, I feel like i can contribute and learn to and from you guys, If any questions pop up feel free to pm me, Thanks for giving me the opportunity to apply, Regards Mitchell. * - Zapu - Mar 12, 2014 ![]() Name: Extrnl App: My name is Extrnl, and I've been on Hackforums for over 1 year now. My interests lie in the technical field. My interests are programming(Currently learning x86 Assembly, other languages such as Python and C, but I've had most interest in Assembly) and learning low level exploitation techniques(Buffer Overflows, learning evasion techniques using ret2reg, ret2libc and ROP) IDS evasion using Polymorphic Shellcode, XOR Vals, Unicode Conversion, Fragmenting Packets and other methods. I'm an avid user of *nix(Currently using #!, although I have used Arch and Manjaro, all of which I love) I'm also learning some networking(How protocls like UDP, TCP, ARP work, encapsulation, demultiplexing, OSI Model Layer, I think networking is REALLY fun and essential for any sort of pentesting. I hope to be certified soon) Aside from all the technical things, I do enjoy debating various topics(Social and Political) because it's fun to debate, and hear others opinions on things they like. I'm a kind, friendly user, who treats people with respect as long as they respect me. You could consider me to be goofy at times, and that's because I don't think it's healthy to be uptight all the time, and it's natural to loosen up a bit. When I dedicate myself to something, I NEVER give up, no matter how mad I get over the task, because I know with more reading and more patience, I will finally understand it later. I also enjoy reading up on Paranormal stuff such as Innawood threads on /x/(Those are the best in my opinion) and changens, because I am fascinated with that type of stuff. Thanks for reviewing my App, and I'm sorry if it's not living up to your expectations. |
