Request: iPhone structure - SIM-5561 - Mar 27, 2014 Sorry to create a thread in this section just for a request, but I think it's the only place on this forum that people might be able to help. I'm looking to get a list (spreadsheet or otherwise) of ALL standard files on an iPhone/iPad ... or any iOS. I'm not so much interested in what's on the phone, just the plain-text names of all the files and directories on the phone. Anyone? Thanks. This is forensics related and I will do a tut in future - I just need to get a hold of this before I do. * - ѕнα∂σω - Mar 27, 2014 (Mar 27, 2014 08:31 AM)9puzzles Wrote: Sorry to create a thread in this section just for a request, but I think it's the only place on this forum that people might be able to help. What do you mean by standard files? I'm sure there's quite a few of them. I have access to my iPhone's files, but I'm not sure I'll be able to tell the standard ones from the non-standard ones. My recommendation is that you ask the user 'xadamxk' - he is the iOS God of HF. He'll probably be able to help you. * - SIM-5561 - Mar 27, 2014 (Mar 27, 2014 08:41 AM)ѕнα∂σω Wrote: What do you mean by standard files? I'm sure there's quite a few of them. I mean, I don't want filenames of your photographs, well, I wouldn't complain, but just the bog standard iOS list of directories and files would be fine. Thanks I'll drop him a PM now 😉 * - ѕнα∂σω - Mar 27, 2014 (Mar 27, 2014 09:11 AM)9puzzles Wrote: I mean, I don't want filenames of your photographs, well, I wouldn't complain, but just the bog standard iOS list of directories and files would be fine. Nah, no photos. That's not what I meant. When you jailbreak, there's an app that allows your / folder and everything else. I assume that's what you need... * - SIM-5561 - Mar 27, 2014 (Mar 27, 2014 09:19 AM)ѕнα∂σω Wrote: Nah, no photos. That's not what I meant. It'd have to be from a jailbroken device. * - ѕнα∂σω - Mar 27, 2014 (Mar 27, 2014 09:28 AM)9puzzles Wrote: Sorry I misunderstood you. Yes that's what I need. It'd have to be from a jailbroken device. Meh. PM that user. He is the iOS God, as I said. He'll gladly help and then give you an hour long lecture on why iOS is better than Android. * - ѕнα∂σω - Mar 27, 2014 (Mar 27, 2014 10:25 AM)xadamxk Wrote: Click here for an understanding of why the iPhone > Android (Click to View) Ahh, and here is Lord i. iOS isn't better than Android: Spoiler (Click to View) * - SIM-5561 - Mar 27, 2014 Thanks, but I don't have an iPhone anymore. I want the file hierarchy of any iPhone, preferably jailbroken if possible? And must be in plain text too. Thanks if you can get me that * - ѕнα∂σω - Mar 27, 2014 (Mar 27, 2014 10:59 AM)9puzzles Wrote: Thanks, but I don't have an iPhone anymore. And don't expect it to be complete... * - SIM-5561 - Mar 27, 2014 Thanks that looks like it'll do the trick I think. I'll test it properly tomorrow. I am hoping to find directories/files (not sure which) that begin with something like: 'Domain....etc CameraRoll' * - SIM-5561 - Mar 27, 2014 (Mar 27, 2014 03:47 PM)xadamxk Wrote: Do you just want the directory where camera roll is...? See this from Wikipedia: domain path and file name SHA-1 backup file name HomeDomain Library/SMS/sms.db 3d0d7e5fb2ce288813306e4d4636395e047a3d28 HomeDomain Library/AddressBook/AddressBook.sqlitedb 31bb7ba8914766d4ba40d6dfb6113c8b614be442 HomeDomain Library/Notes/notes.sqlite ca3bc056d4da0bbf88b5fb3be254f3b7147e639c WirelessDomain Library/CallHistory/call_history.db 2b2b0084a1bc3a5ac8c27afdf14afb42c61a19ca Under the header: Files (at the bottom). I want a list of all files in the iPhone backup (so maybe it's not the iOS structure afterall, but the backup structure). Sorry to be confusing, but i'm doing forensic work on iPhones right now. * - SIM-5561 - Mar 27, 2014 It's ok I got it now :) I used this tool: https://code.google.com/p/iphonebackupbrowser/downloads/list to dump the mbdb contents into a file. I have all the hashes and files now. Thanks for the help :) |
