Bored, what should I code? - XeClutch - Mar 28, 2014

I don't really have anything to do lol, my PayPal is locked and I ain't in the mood for pr0n, besides, my code could use some work. What should I attempt coding?

I am not a C# expert to keep the difficulty level down but no something I could make in a minute. I guess an intermediate level difficulty would be good.

And please don't suggest something that has been done 1,000,000 times before. ie: Notepad, Notepad with syntax highlighting, UDP flooder, etc..

How about you look into Neural Networks, Genetic Algorithms, something of the like?
Self-learning programs. Not too hard to code, you just need to grasp the theory.

The outcome is guaranteed to be fun!

Examples of what can be done: semi-intelligent web crawlers (give them a name, they google for it and present you the most important information), artificial life simulators (I love those, imagine simulating a bug without coding a bug at all), pattern recognizers (in images, audio, ... ) and a lot more!

Cheers,
Rajin

Sounds very interesting, think you could send me a link where I would get a start?

Sure, If you have never done anything of the like I recommend to start with this codeproject article or, even better, Jeff Heaton's books on NNs in C# ( http://www.heatonresearch.com/ )
If you want a PDF version just pm me, I'll send you a link!

Look at this:

It's a basic open source RAT, you can customize it and add your own features, it's really fun!

Ehh, RAT's have been done before. If I wanted to do a RAT I would prefer to do one from scratch.
