Tell me about Captain Earth
One night right before summer vacation, Daichi Manatsu, a second-year in high school, sees a weird round rainbow floating in the sky above Seed Island (Shuushi/Tane Island) and ventures there alone. He has seen this rainbow before. With the memories of his father's mysterious death and an encounter of a mysterious boy and girl, Daiji arrives on the island while the alarm of a building labeled "Earth Engine" is going off. Someone asks him "Are you a captain?" just as robotic intruders from Uranus called "Kiltgang" arrive. The battle around the shining stars is about to begin.

My impressions on episode 1
Studio Bones is nothing new to those who have watched anime for some time, they've made FMA:Brotherhood, Soul Eater, Darker Than Black, and plenty of others. Since this is the case, I was pretty hyped for Captain Earth; and so far, for good reason. The animation was great all the way through, and the soundtrack for episode 1 was very nice too. My only complaint was it felt a little slow at the beginning, but that changed pretty fast. Even if you don't like mech, just give episode 1 a chance.

Episode 1 was alright, it never really had me enticed so I probably won't be watching this one unless it turns around with really high ratings.

This anime looks great the the animation is awesome. Also, the fighting with machines some what remind me of Infinite Stratos.

Just finished episode 2, did not disappoint. The mech fights look pretty nice and I'm liking the story so far, I hope this means studio Bones' return, as they have been hit or miss pretty recently.
