I'm going to see about compiling one this afternoon. * - Wirt - Apr 7, 2014 Uhm just a quick question, I have Cudaminer (I am running NVidia) and made and logged into an account on Blue's pool, but how do I mine now? I know I had to like make a text document or something, but I forgot what to put in it. Thanks! * - Magicmann - Apr 7, 2014 (Apr 7, 2014 01:16 PM)ℒitecoin Wrote: Uhm just a quick question, I have Cudaminer (I am running NVidia) and made and logged into an account on Blue's pool, but how do I mine now? That will be your login information for it. It'll be "PoolUsername.Worker" for the username, and "WorkerPassword" for the password. Obviously replacing those with your appropriate information. * - Wirt - Apr 7, 2014 (Apr 7, 2014 01:20 PM)Magicmann Wrote: You need to create a worker in the "Worker" tab on the pool website. I'm confused. You just make a text document with just that information? I thought there was something much more that you put in there? Is there a thread about a tutorial on how to setup the miner? I tried searching for it but to no avail. * - Omniscient - Apr 7, 2014 I've added a mirror for the Windows wallet of OMC at Omnicoin.cc along with an MD5 checksum so members can verify. * - Orgy - Apr 7, 2014 Two questions: 1) What's the bounty on that Mac compilation? 2) Is the answer to 1 enough to buy the Omnicoin award? Honestly I'd do it for free but since you're offering a bounty... :) * - eiqhtz - Apr 7, 2014 Where is the wallet and files supposed to be placed? Also why haven't anyone posted a tutorial on how to mine from a pool? * - Orgy - Apr 7, 2014 (Apr 7, 2014 01:34 PM)Malwarę Bytes Wrote: Where is the wallet and files supposed to be placed? The OMC wallet can be placed anywhere. * - Esme - Apr 7, 2014 (Apr 7, 2014 01:34 PM)Malwarę Bytes Wrote: Where is the wallet and files supposed to be placed? Because the mining process and set-up is the same as any other Scrypt based coin. * - eiqhtz - Apr 7, 2014 Okay, I feel as if my question wasn't answered properly. I have never mined before, and for some reason, I can't find another tutorial. So if anyone can help me, that'll be great. Question: "Also why haven't anyone posted a tutorial on how to mine from a pool?" * - 'Snorlax - Apr 7, 2014 Will the files for Omnicoind be public or something? I would like to play around with some JSON and daemon stuff. Otherwise read the introduction part of Doctor Blue's pool thread. * - eiqhtz - Apr 7, 2014 (Apr 7, 2014 01:57 PM)Snorlax Wrote: Will the files for Omnicoind be public or something? I would like to play around with some JSON and daemon stuff. It sort of works, but it doesn't get me to the point to setting up cgminer with my OMC wallet and mining with Xen0n's pool. It's quite confusing and I thought a tutorial on it should be added. EDIT: Nevermind, I see my problem. |
