Fill form with URL [URL Query?] - Prayanthem - Apr 26, 2014

Hey, wasn't sure what section to put this, but this one seemed the most appropriate. I am looking to prefill a private message on a IP.board style forum.

http://osbot.org/forum/index.php?app=members&module=messaging&section=send&do=form

If you take the time to register on the forum (osbot.org), then you can follow the URL to look at the PM layout.

So far I've figured out that you can use ? as a seperator and & as an inclution - Pretty basic. Now I can fill in the sender doing:
forumlink&entered_name=name, weirdly enough it's not consistent:
&entered_name=name&message_subject=Name <- Won't fill in the subject name.

Furthermore it would be neat to edit the main textfield somewhat. Any suggestions would be appriciated.

++ The purpose is to link someone the URL so they can PM me easily.

Have you tried guessing? Like message=Message for example.

Firefox:

1. Download LiveHTTPHeaders (or something along those lines)
2. Start and send an actual message through website
3. Observe the $_POST fields

Chrome:

1. Open the Network tab (Ctrl+Shift+I)
2. Send the actual message
3. Observe the $_POST fields

You don't need a plugin for FireFox, just hit F12 and go to the Network tab.

Sorry I didn't know, I don't remember the last time I used FireFox.
