Wanna help my wife a little? - Viral Dragon - May 7, 2014 So, members of AA, I've seen ... a shit ton of anime. Too many to really help Icey anymore, mainly because I'm just too bias or I don't care about tropes and cliches. They're in every single anime, so I don't care about them. Now, my question to you, can you suggest an anime for Icey to watch with me? She's VERY VERY picky about them. 1) She HATES school-life type animes. 2) She HATES when literally everyone has to scream and shout every 5 seconds. What she DOES like though, is psychotic bitches. For example, she likes Highschool of the Dead (hotd) because of the trauma they go through, the sheer psychotic breaks, the psychology of it, how they react that kind of crap. She likes SAO (Sword Art Online) because the people are forced to more or less fight for their lives and experience more trauma/psychological impact that will more or less scar them and what not. Mostly people facing their imminent demise, how they react to their extreme fear, and mostly people who enjoy extreme violence. Anime she does like and would watch again. (or already has). Cowboy Bebop (her absolute all time favorite - no question about it) Outlaw Star Zoids (Chaotic Century, Guardian Force, ...) Inuyasha (first season) Sword Art Online (not the dub though) Highschool Of The Dead Attack On Titan Full Metal Panic (she liked Fumofu the most) Elfen Lied Black Lagoon Noir Azumanga-Daio A lot of works by CLAMP (card captor sakura, magic knight rayearth, and so on) She wold prefer the animes to be around 26 episodes. She doesn't like super long animes. Would PREFER to NOT have any fillers or bs episodes. She hates flashbacks. She LOVES psychotic woman (like Levi from Black Lagoon, Hanji from Attack on Titan, and what not). Not just killing for the sake of killing, but because of their backstory ... She literally HATES though, school plots, fan service, redundant training, tournaments, flashbacking every 5 seconds, fillers. In fact, in her OWN words, her NUMBER ONE sin for her is "Filler". --- It's a lot to take in, and it's hard to come up with anime, mainly because I like animes for their plots and how they're executed. So uhm ... please help? I've been trying to get her to watch more anime with me, but damn is she fcking picky about it. -Viral. * - ieatdongs - May 7, 2014 Future Diary sounds like something she'd like. * - Vamporno - May 7, 2014 Tell her to watch Clannad and Clannad After Story. If she doesn't like those anime then tell her to match Zero no Tsukaima. * - Sasaki Haise - May 7, 2014 crazy woman? Mirrai Nikki : Future Diaries. * - Happeh - May 7, 2014 Mirai Nikki would probably be right up her alley, though it is 12(?) episodes. Higurashi when they Cry is another fantastic series too - features some of the most psychotic girls I know. Long and a great story around the girls etc. (May 7, 2014 02:33 PM)Truthly Godz Wrote: Tell her to watch Clannad and Clannad After Story. Clannad's first series is about school-life and Zero no Tsukaima is (albeit good) fantasy, romance featuring a tsundere lol. * - Copic - May 7, 2014 After reading that through I'm actually shocked Future Diary wasn't in the list of her favorites. * - Viral Dragon - May 7, 2014 (May 7, 2014 02:42 PM)Yui-bitch! She's never seen it, I pulled up a synop for her and she got interested when I told her the MC becomes a psycho killer terrorist after the death of his parents. Lol. I told her its basically the hunger games, but more eventful. -Viral. * - Vamporno - May 7, 2014 (May 7, 2014 02:35 PM)Happeh Wrote: Mirai Nikki would probably be right up her alley, though it is 12(?) episodes. But you never know if she can start to like it. What happened if she saw a shitty School Life anime? * - Real_FFF - May 7, 2014 Wellllll Mirai Nikki has a pretty psychotic bitch in it... I need a little bit of time to think about this... Sounds like she might not mind Higashi no Eden, Kaze no Stigma(she might not like this), she might not mind Maoyuu Maou Yuusha or Sekirei(a little bit hentai/weird). I can't really think of too many psychotic characters in animes atm, so I'm kinda just naming actions that don't have to do with school life. * - Happeh - May 7, 2014 (May 7, 2014 02:46 PM)Truthly Godz Wrote: But you never know if she can start to like it. What happened if she saw a shitty School Life anime? Well Clannad's a great one but if She's literally looking for the opposite. Instead of forcing it down her throat (who knows, she may have tried watching loads but didn't like it), lets just offer the good thriller shit. Deadman Wonderland is another great one Viral, again short though. Feel thats more like a fucked up Hunger Games - there's a prison where they offer freedom if you compete in their 'death games'. Great watch. * - Viral Dragon - May 7, 2014 (May 7, 2014 02:59 PM)Happeh Wrote: Deadman Wonderland is another great one Viral, again short though. She liked it, but at the same time, didn't. She hardly finished it. -Viral. * - Ryuujinx - May 7, 2014 Is it that she specifically likes Psychotic leads, or that she likes strong female leads? If the latter, then you might check out Ghost in the Shell (A bit fan-servicy I guess, but not too much, I seem to recall only a couple scenes here and there) as well as Psycho-Pass. -Maybe- Ga-Rei Zero? It's different. The first two episodes really suck you in, so maybe give it a shot. * - Sasaki Haise - May 7, 2014 Oh, you can also check out Steins Gate. It's pretty awesome. * - Harpuia - May 7, 2014 (May 7, 2014 05:06 PM)Sojin Wrote: Oh, you can also check out Steins Gate. It's pretty awesome. Yeah that's what I was going to recommend, only like 22 episodes great psychological anime. * - Diogene - May 7, 2014 Well please notify her of Mirai Nikki: The future diary. I'm suprised she has not seen this! |
