Disable Regedit, Run, CMD, Right click in VB.net - Numair - May 15, 2010

Hello Friends.

This is the way i use to Disable Regedit, Run, CMD, Right click in My project. VaQS v3

Disable Regedit
Code
My.Computer.Registry.SetValue("HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\System", "DisableRegistryTools", "1")

Disable Run
Code
My.Computer.Registry.SetValue("HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer", "NoRun", "1")

Disable Rightclick
Code
My.Computer.Registry.SetValue("HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer", "NoViewContextMenu", "1")

Disable CMD
Code
My.Computer.Registry.SetValue("HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\System", "DisableCMD", "2")

This code is written by me no copy pasting.

Enjoy.

Agreed, you should this line last, because once that line has been executed the other command lines wont work.

There is a better way to do this:

Regcreate = CreateObject("WScript.Shell")
Regcreate.RegWrite("HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\System\DisableRegistryTools", 1, "REG_DWORD")
Regcreate.RegWrite("HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\System\DisableCMD", 1, "REG_DWORD")
Regcreate.RegWrite("HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer\NoViewContextMenu", 1, "REG_DWORD")
Regcreate.RegWrite("HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer\NoRun", 1, "REG_DWORD")
