This will be a very short and simple to tutorial on how to stay "offline" while using Whatsapp.
As many of you know, Whatsapp implemented the feature to hide your "last seen" status.
There are people that don't want to use this feature, but don't want to update their "last seen" status every time they're using Whatsapp. So that's how it works:
The last seen status only updates, when you open Whatsapp while you got a connection to the internet.
So if you are offline while reading a message, and go back online, your last seen status won't update.
It doesn't matter if you answer to a message or messages or not.
In short:
- Go offline with your mobile device
- Open Whatsapp
- Read (and answer) your messages
- Close Whatsapp
- Go back online
The last seen status won't update, but your message will be sent in the background.
Decide yourself if it's useful for you ;)

The more simpler way is to disable the last seen in account setings. Nobody will be able to see your last seen, however, you won't see it from others either.
Whether someone is online or not is still seen by others and yourself, which somewhat implies the same as last seen, except that people don't know when this was if they weren't looking at your message.

As I wrote in the main post, I know about this and I absolutely understand if people tend to simply enable the hidden mode.
My method can be used for tricking people without risking to be "seen online" while answering to someone else.
Furthermore, the hidden mode could be suspicious to - for example - your gf. That's why you may want to use my method sometimes 👍
