Can someone help me on this one I'm stumped - Blloodbeast - May 15, 2014

I was making a VB Login program and it has 3 forms all together it has the main username password text box with a create account and that opens form 2 and there you create you username and password and it saves it then it takes you back to form 1 where you login with the new Info and that takes you to the 3rd and final form and in there I what to know how I can set a label that say (Welcome "that shows there username they made")

Is there any what to do this?

Roughly:
Code
'Successful Login:
Dim WelcomeForm as new form3
WelcomeForm.Username = Textbox1.text
WelcomeForm.Show()

'Form3 Load Event:
label1.text = string.format("Welcome {0}", Username)

First of all, DO NOT store credentials on client in any way, use a .Net Seal sort of system, because your thing can be decompiled in 2 seconds.

in vb 2010 this line of code works fine.

form 3 load

msgbox("welcome",label1.text)

whatever is in the label it will show up like Welcome name here

I... I think he is....

That would look like the most weird thing.

Would be better to have the welcome and username not as the title.

Quote:Use "Dim username as string"

When the person creates an account do "Username = Textbox1.text" (Or what ever text box they enter their name into)

Then "label2.text = "WELCOME: " & Username"

This is what I PMed him, He has PMed me twice asking for help and then never responded.

I tried to make it as simple as I could.

How did you create this login system without knowing how to join 2 strings?
