Where to start from? - albastru31 - May 25, 2014 So I wanna become a programmer but I don't know where to start from. I'd like to learn how to build games (I know some C++) but I also wanna learn HTML CSS JavaScript to build websites and I don't know where to start from. What are the best books/youtubers that teach any of those? And which is the best to start with? * - g4143 - May 26, 2014 Another - I don't know what to do so please tell what I should do - post. If this is an example of your commitment and motivation then I recommend quitting now. * - albastru31 - May 26, 2014 I'm already learning C++ and Java from thenewb*****, also at school and I know HTML pretty well, same CSS and a bit of JS ^_^ I'm just looking for useful websites, books, etc. because for example I've seen tutorials with many different programs such as construct 2 and wanna know which is the best if it could be called so * - g4143 - May 26, 2014 (May 26, 2014 01:01 AM)albastru31 Wrote: I'm already learning C++ and Java from thenewb*****, also at school and I know HTML pretty well, same CSS and a bit of JS ^_^ Now you want to know which is the best? You want us to form your own opinion? * - albastru31 - May 26, 2014 the best program~ god. i have no ideea about any of those programs so i check people opionions and make my own after I check them :) * - Trisomy 21 - May 26, 2014 Op, follow a good book and use this site as a reference: http://www.cplusplus.com/doc/tutorial/ , along with any other sites you find. * - Green Death - May 27, 2014 g4143 is right... Again... I will begin to follow you dude. Almost each time I see one of your post you blow my mind ><" Anyway ^^ There isn't "one" perfect language of prog. HTML / CSS doesn't do the same than C / C++. If I could make an advice, I will tell you to begin with a low lvl language (it's not the difficulty). It will help you for your futur as a programmer. I personnaly start with C. Then Web language (HTML 5 / CSS ==> Php and now GO (google new baby). I will maybe begin C++ when I will have some time soon. You don't have to do like me. If you just want to learn to make little "virus" XD with pretty interface learn VB.NET Some language are easyer than other (for me). But you can't do the same things with all your language. Ask yourself the question "what do I wanna make", "why do I learn programmation?" If you want leave from that I would recommand you C / C++. It's, for me, a good start. But as g4143 say, it's my opinion. It's maybe not the right one / the one that will fit you ^^ But you know, even if you begin with the "wrong" one (if there is really a wrong way to begin), it's not the end of the world. Learning is (in 99% of the time) a good thing. PS: HTML / CSS aren't programmation language !! NO NO NO !! Php is a prog language !! Plz d0nt k1ll m3. 1 am so d4rk !! * - MrPip - May 27, 2014 I suggest using teamtreehouse.com or codeacademy.com. Good luck mate ! |
