AnimeNext - First convention - Saged - Jun 8, 2014

After going to my first Anime convention (first convention in general), I figured I'd ask HF if they've ever been to one. I personally don't watch anime or cosplay or anything similar, so I was just there to socialize and meet people.. but what about you guys? Have you guys ever been to one or ever cosplayed?

I'm genuinely curious on how many people are that dedicated. 😝

I was on the red line going into Boston and we started to see people who were cosplaying getting on as we got closer. There was this couple (I assume) cosplaying, and the girl had cat ears etc. This random guy in a Red Socks jersey who had no idea why people were in costumes comes up to me and my friend and asks "Hey, if that guy fucks the girl... is that beastiality?"

Was great.

🤣🤣 Being on the outside is FARRR different than being able to actually talk to the people who're cosplaying. How come you didn't cosplay?

I have attended Anime Expo out in LA for the past 8 years. I plan to go again this year. I am not a cosplayer I go to hang with friends and staff that I know that run the shows.

Were there loads of Kill La Kill and AoT cosplay? I personally have never been to a convention, but I hope to go to one soon if I get the opportunity.

I was at anime next cosplaying as Aiden Pierce from watch dogs. I only wore it the first day though as it was a heavy leather winter jacket.

Also yes there were a lot of Ryuko's even saw a giant Senketsu. On top of that some of studio trigger was there was signing and two panels. Edit: tons of attack on titan cosplay as well

Shieett. You were there? Where you from?

And the only one I know was attack on titans and there was a FUCKTON of people wearing the corp. jackets. And many more fully decked out in the uniforms.

As for banging chicks, no. I was there for about 8 hours. I can almost guarantee a dude (with game) can get laid if he's there for the entire weekend. 🤣

Oh, you were there too? I feel like I should be meeting you people. 😑 And none, I walked around, chatted up people and took pictures. Which ones were good?

Yeah, It was pretty fun :3. My favorite panel was Matt Mercer after dark. Did you get anything good from the Dealers room or artist gallery?

Almost bought a sword or two. However, I'm trying to be frugal with my money so no lol. Hbu? Get any good art?

Just went to A-KON in Dallas, yesterday for the full 3 days there.

God damn it is expensive as fuck.

Spent over $850 in shit I wanted there. God damnit for me watching a lot of shows for me to want a lot of shit.

Overall though, I'm going next year and cosplaying prob something cool and bringing a lot more cash for this little hobby of mine 😏

I did buy this from the dealers room and then went to the Trigger Studio signing and they signed it :3 I bought other stuff however this is the main thing. I'm going to get a frame for this and hang it up.
