I'm just confused because i'm being sarcastic and it makes me feel horrible that someone would do this. Despite me helping so many people with their posts. I thought these forums wouldn't have people abusing their power to make people feel like leaving the site. Im just asking if this is a valid use of negative rep.

Yeah i was so excited to get 4 rep (I'm new) but when that guy just negative rep'd me in a matter of minutes, it made me feel horrible.

Why do you have to make a whole thread about this? What the hell do you want us to say? Do you want pity rep? Stop making rep such a big deal, soon you'll realise the way to get negs is to not be afraid to speak your opinion, and the way to not get negs is to be a little bitch and never slightly offend anyone. Rep is useless, ignore it.

That's your first problem. If you were out to help, you wouldn't care about negs. Instead, keep moving on and help out people in honesty and people will soon oversee you and start giving more positives outweighing the negatives.
Oh on a side note, most people who give out dumb negatives usually and eventually get their accounts closed, banned, and result in removing rep. I used to have about 9 negatives, most were pretty dumb and those people usually who give dumb negs are usually the type to act dumb resulting in account closing. Negs will be removed.

No. Just no. OP is human and everyone is affected by rep. Saying he wouldn't care about negs is saying his ego is void and that he utterly doesn't care about what anyone thinks about him here.
It's not a dumb neg imo, just a ub3r taking advantage and negging for a stupid reason because OP is not upgraded and he's had a bad day.

Both his, and your posts makes sense. I'm sorry if i seem like a brat though, im just new and I don't want to be one of those guys that noone trusts because of neg. rep and doesnt get anymore positive rep because of that. Just like Elo Hell in league.

your rep isn't what is going to make people not trust you.
it's your lack of time/upgrade/vouches that will make people not trust you.
I'm just saying.
I got 500rep and almost 4 years reg time, and people still don't trust me because I've not done a whole lot of exchanging/trading.
