The only one I know of is Amazon Student.

6 months of free Amazon Prime and then for 4 years, you renew at $49 a year instead of $99.

I know you can get a a bunch of Microsoft stuff, including Windows 8 & 7, with an .edu email. Not sure if there's anything else

Microsoft Dreamspark is what they're talking about above.

Then they're mistaken because I had heard about that and looked into it.

No free copies of Windows 7/8. Otherwise my laptop would be running 7 instead of 8.

Personally, I've got both a BizSpark and DreamSpark account which both give me full MSDN membership - I have unlimited copies of any Microsoft software right from Windows 3.1
