This following tutorial will add alot of FPS (up to 100) and you will gain no LAG (client lag).
If this tutorial doesen't help you, it's time to buy a new PC. 🤝
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
FIRST METHOD

1) Close down minecraft.

2) Head over to OptiFine site:
http://optifine.net/home
-OptiFine can increase your FPS alot, and for bonus, it makes your textures HD.

3) After downloading, simply click the jar file and click the install button.

4) Head over to Minecraft again and for even more FPS apply these settings:
- Graphics: Fast
- Render Distance: Short/Tiny
- Smooth Lighting: OFF
- Performance: Max FPS
- AdvancedOpenGL: Fast
- Clouds: OFF
- Fog: OFF
- Animations: All OFF
- Sky: OFF
- Stars: OFF

The mod is compatible with: ModLoader, Forge, SinglePlayerCommands, TooManyItems, PlasticCraft, CJB's Modpack, Zan's Minimap, Rei's Minimap, DynamicLights, GLSL Shaders 2, LittleBlocks and many other.

I'd take the Java out of the tutorial, this is just applying a mod to your client and changing a few settings. The player doesn't actually interact with any Java coding or editing. Also I would add that this only works with official released versions.

Nice thread layout and what not though, should help a few players that are newer to Minecraft.

Optifine is updated often so that shouldn't be a problem.

There a few hacking clients who have OptiFine in it. But yes you can code it "in".

Doesn't really deal with any java, more like a mod to install to get better FPS, maybe change the title? :P

* - Sommmen - Jul 7, 2014

kinda misleading title. rename it to optifine tutorial or somethin.

The only usefull info here is mainly just the list of configuration options to use to speed up your game. Usefull for people just getting into the game who don't have a good computer.

What do you mean by "it makes your textures HD"?

Can't edit the title now.
"Sorry but you cannot edit your post. The Administrator has set it so that posts can only be edited within 1440 minutes of posting."

Nice post, but most players who have low FPS have usually already sought out this option.

Depends on what kind of PC you have.
