Ok I've seen a lot of information on this forum about freeDNS. I believe there is users on this forum who are experiencing this problem but have no idea on how to solve it, and therefor unable to sync your FreeDNS to your IP. So today I will show you how to sync your freeDNS easy and make sure it will be 100% working.

This tutorial explains the basics on how to setup, and all is correct. But I've made this tutorial thread just to clear one problem up.
Some users are currently experiencing problems with FreeDNS and why it doesn't work. Thats because the w-get scripts aren't connecting to the wget installer correctly, there for corrupting the syncing process when you run the w-get scripts. So this tutorial will fully explain how to get this problem solved, and make sure your FreeDNS is 100% working.
1) Follow the tutorial I've linked above.

2) Once complete follow the 3rd step
3) When you followed the tutorial you downloaded a program called GnuWin32 (Wget installer) this program will help your w-get run. So you can get your DNS 100% working. If you don't have it yet, here is the link to it. http://sourceforge.net/projects/gnuwin32/files/wget/1.11.4-1/wget-1.11.4-1-setup.exe/download?use_mirror=softlayer-dal

4) Download the w-get scripts (If you have then great)

5) Copy the .bat file (w-get scripts) and paste it them into the Gnuwin32/bin directory on your main driver, or where ever you installed GnuWin32 to, and find that directory.

Then find the bin directory.

And copy and paste the .bat file into there.
6) From there run the .bat file in your bin directory (w-get scripts) and it should work for you.
Also just a hint to see if there is any errors while running the DNS, go to the directory you pasted the .bat file into, and right click > edit.

The last line where I've written the command "Pause" choose to have that. So when you run your .bat file it should say this if you're successful to run.

After that hit any key and your DNS is now successfully sync to your DNS with no problems.
I hope this clears up a lot of HF users problems when trying to get FreeDNS to work. As this problem is the major problem some users face.

Nope it isn't. This tutorial is just to show how to make sure FreeDNS is 100% working.

Weird. This tutorial made me doubt that it was setup right, and I happened to find it the day I went somewhere else with my laptop. Then When I pinged it in cmd, it showed the former ip. Though, I got it to work with an online pinger. Time to infect myself :D

You have to install Gnuwin32, and make sure you installed it to your C drive in programs files.
