Am I allowed invisible characters in my name? - Server97 - Jul 17, 2014

For example, I know Jack is taken but could I have Jack*INVISIBLE CHARACTER*?

Using such a character would lead to possible complications when users are trying to send PMs or other functions. You do not have to use a invisible character, I don't. I use a character map that looks exactly if not close to ascii. This "Α" is not the same as "A". It allows myself to have the name Argyle as "Argyle" is already taken but not a frequent term.

As long as you're not impersonating someone, you should be fine.

Omni doesn't recommend it. He says he's closed accounts with them. Just don't do it.

I'll just quote a mentor on this one.

Let me quote it for you.

That is allowed, though if you impersonate an admin, staff, or mentor, there will be consequence.

It's perfectly fine. Many members do this.

You are allowed to use invisible characters, but keep in mind that it will be harder for people to find you on here when they are trying to send you a message or find you using the search and Member List features. Also, if you use this to impersonate an Administrator, Staff, or Mentor you will suffer the consequences which include a rep fuck, ban, or even account closure. Also, if you use an invisible character to impersonate any user in general, you will be subject to consequences such as those listed above. If you are just trying to have the username of an account that was once used on here but that account is now closed, then I see no problem with using that special character to get the username you desire as long as you do not misuse it in any way, shape or form. Seeing how your question has been answered, I will now close this thread. Feel free to send me a private message if you need anymore help or need something explained further, I will try my best to help you out.

It's okay to pee on yourself but afterwards you're wet and smelly.

Feel free to add invisible characters to your username.
