Can I try to figure out the prestiege formula? - Moseby - Jul 21, 2014 So, I have read almost all the rules, and read through some threads about the prestiege formula and so on. Is there a chance for us to try to figure it out? Like can we make or get a "test account" thats only being used to try to figure it out? Or can we try to figure it out by looking at other members stats and so on? How does it work? Can we or can we not try to figure it out? On our own or with any "help"? Thanks * - 'Snorlax - Jul 21, 2014 You are allowed to try it, but you will most likely not succeed. You cannot create a test account. You can use your own to create a linear regression based on your stats, then check with other members. * - Shockley - Jul 21, 2014 That would be multiaccounting, so no. Prestige on HF isn't like in Call of Duty, it's not a game, nor is it a big deal. * - webdev77 - Jul 21, 2014 You cannot create another account. That will get you banned. You probably can look at the stats of other users to try and figure it out, but there really is no point of doing so. Omniscient may even change the formula if people do figure it out. Besides, it likely includes too many factors to account for. * - TRH4CK - Jul 21, 2014 If I recall it had been resolved or almost resolved once. It was so hard to do but you can try xD * - Gustav. - Jul 21, 2014 Some guy was actually rewarded with the scientific award for figuring out the formula. Anyways, Snorlax is correct. Good luck. * - Moseby - Jul 21, 2014 Yes, I know creating another account is multiaccounting, that was why I asked if there was a SPECIAL way to get a SPECIAL account just for testing, like that can't post and that, but now I know that can't be done, thanks. Yes, I know it's hard, but I like a challenge. So yea, will try it out. Another question, can I make my "calculations" public? Like can I make a thread about it and update it all the time with what I come up with? * - Gustav. - Jul 21, 2014 (Jul 21, 2014 08:23 AM)Moseby Wrote: Yes, I know creating another account is multiaccounting, that was why I asked if there was a SPECIAL way to get a SPECIAL account just for testing, like that can't post and that, but now I know that can't be done, thanks. There is nothing wrong with keeping your updates public. But note someone might steal your cred and take advantage of it. * - Moseby - Jul 21, 2014 (Jul 21, 2014 08:25 AM)Chief Wrote: There is nothing wrong with keeping your updates public. Meh, if I make a thread about it public anyone can see when I uploaded it and also what updates I've made * - Gustav. - Jul 21, 2014 (Jul 21, 2014 08:30 AM)Moseby Wrote: Meh, if I make a thread about it public anyone can see when I uploaded it and also what updates I've made True. Well, I wish you good luck man. * - Moseby - Jul 21, 2014 (Jul 21, 2014 08:33 AM)Chief Wrote: True. Thank you. Is there any chance to find out what exactly the prestiege is built on? Is it Reputation + Posts + Reported posts or is it more? Less? * - Gustav. - Jul 21, 2014 (Jul 21, 2014 08:39 AM)Moseby Wrote: Thank you.I am pretty sure that it includes the following,

No, not start, but earned as your account ages. There are plenty of little things that I believe go into the forums, such as increasing prestige every 20-50 posts, after earning a certain amount of rep, join date, number of threads created, awards earned and if you upgrade to l33t, ub3r, 3p1c, etc. Basically anything you do on the site has an effect on your prestige and account standing. |
