Fraps crashed, corrupt AVI file. - milkywaythegodfather - Jul 22, 2014

This a very important and private recording and I've tried to fix it using a few programs but failed.

Does anyone know how to fix this?

If Fraps crashed in the middle of the recording, and you get that error then yeah its pretty much corrupted. You could try opening it in VLC, but I don't think it would make much difference since its only an .avi

You can use DivFix++ to try repair AVI file.

Try DivFix++, its worth a shot.
It worked for me a couple of weeks ago.

Seriously though, doubt you're gonna get ur AVI back. :(

I don't think Windows 8 media player supports .avi files.
Try VLC and see if it works with that.
