Look & Say Number Sequence! - TheDubWubCub - Aug 8, 2014 Hey HF! 😁 Saw this numberphile video and thought it was intreseting, so I just wanted to share it with you guys. ✌ (Try to figure out the sequence before you watch the video, just to see if you can get it. 🎉) Sequence: 1 11 21 1211 111221 312211 What's next? 🤫 That's it, nothing too special.. just thought it was interesting. 😁 If you liked this type of thread, check out these other ones! 🤗 Spoiler (Click to View) Have a good day! 🤗 * - crazyycast13 - Aug 8, 2014 Wait lemme do some math. Are you doing something like a couple 1s go together and it gets shifted up 1? STILL WORKING ON THIS GIMME A SEC RULES: concatenate any 1's together, not the other numbers concatenating only happens in the first step, not the later steps After concatenating, put a 1 on the right side, and a 1 always goes on the outside Also, after a new number is introduced ex: 2 or 3 for the first time, a 1 has to go in front of it maybe a 1 always goes on the left side of every number? If you concatenate the 1 goes on the right side, otherwise it goes on left side 1 1<-1 11 (11)<-1 21 First rule comes here: 121 121<-1 1211 Now you start again. You have to concatenate first though. 1211 12(11) 122 There are two 2's therefore the two 1s before the two 2s 11122 11122<-1 111221 First you concatenate 111221 (111)221 I SOLVED IT CORRECTLY ISH AFTER SO MANY TRIES 1 11 11 (11) 21 21 21 1211 1211 1211 1112(11) 111221 111221 this is where it gets weird NEW RULE if two numbers(over 1)are together that are the same ie 22 they stay together without adding new numbers 111221 (111)221 312211 312211 Balls to the walls time 312211 3122(11) 13112221 13112221 * - TheDubWubCub - Aug 8, 2014 (Aug 8, 2014 09:52 PM)crazyycast13 Wrote: Wait lemme do some math. I think I figured something out though. Every number other than 1 has to be followed by a 1, unless there is a number in front of it. Also, while 1s can carry over, they do not always * - TheDubWubCub - Aug 9, 2014 (Aug 8, 2014 09:52 PM)crazyycast13 Wrote: (Aug 8, 2014 10:35 PM)crazyycast13 Wrote: "Think simpler" Glad I could be much of help 😏 haha yep, seems that you got it. Just watch the video to check it. 🤗 (*cough* Now you should try my challenge #6 cough 😉) |
