Port reddit source to ASP.NET - NavTech - Aug 10, 2014

Hey guys I was wondering if anyone had an idea of how hard it would be to port reddit source code to ASP.NET? Has anyone tried this or gone about doing something similar?

Well you could use something like this? http://www.mher.info/blog/?p=146

I remember seeing something similar to what you want a couple days ago... I cannot find it, specifically... Might have been thinking of this: https://github.com/civilordergone/cmsfire (http://cmsfire.timnuwin.com/), which is made in PHP, and doesn't look quite right...

Oh well, good luck with your project OP. Don't quite know why you want to do this, but what ever I guess...
I would not say it is "hard" as much as it is time consuming... I am sure there have been other attempts at creating a ASP.Net clone reddit. Weather they are open source or publicly shared is another thing... I would not spend my time re-creating it, just a suggestion though... If you were to start re-coding it, working off of a base clone may save some time?

I recently bough a domain the other day and am looking to go for a board similar to way reddit is set up voting system, comments etc... I have seen the first link but it's using MVC and we're are using webforms but it is still something to look at. I know it will be time consuming thanks for the suggestions mate ✌

Reddit is basiclly open-source, so you might wanna go from that.

There is also this.

Keep in mind it's a bit old.
