Airport Internet - Snapchat - Aug 13, 2014 I'm currently using the Airports internet, what if I do any type of illegal activity..? What would happen? Can they trace me still or will I remain anonymous. ( Not using a VPN ) * - Disciples - Aug 13, 2014 (Aug 13, 2014 07:13 AM)Grєєn™ Wrote: I'm currently using the Airports internet, what if I do any type of illegal activity..? What would happen? Nah, I don't really think that you can get in trouble if you use a VPN. * - Kennyz - Aug 13, 2014 Well, maybe your mac-address - but what to do with that? Just don't fuck anything serious up. * - Niely - Aug 13, 2014 They can find your physical IP-address (not the one you send out to the internet) and your MAC-Address. MAC-addresses (Media Access Control) is an unique number given to each PC, it includes info about the hardware etc. but also used to communicate over Ethernet connections. If they find your MAC (and you didn't spoofed it), they just find you. :) Spoof your MAC-address (Physical IP changes together I think), and use Tor/Good VPN. That should be okay. ;) * - Snapchat - Aug 13, 2014 (Aug 13, 2014 09:00 AM)Niely Wrote: They can find your physical IP-address (not the one you send out to the internet) and your MAC-Address. Thanks bud, this helped me out! 🤝 * - grady - Aug 13, 2014 You should be able to get away with quite a few things, but as Niely said, be careful. I was thinking more along the lines of you doing things like Man-in-the-Middle attacks on people also on the airport connection, but it doesn't seem like you'll be doing that. * - w34k - Aug 13, 2014 You should look more into computer forensics and networking, if you think just by using a VPN or Tor that you are safe. * - LittleBobbyTables - Aug 13, 2014 (Aug 13, 2014 09:00 AM)Niely Wrote: They can find your physical IP-address (not the one you send out to the internet) and your MAC-Address. MAC addresses are regional as well. It happened to a friend in college of mine. Turns out his real MAC address was the same as a professor who got his laptop on the other side of the country. |
