New track I finally got around to releasing. Been a while since I have put out anything new after I moved to NJ.
This is a bit of a new style for me and something I had a bunch of fun making. Most entertaining part is me trying to play a damn bass guitar I borrowed from a friend for this song (never used or played one before working on this).
Anyways check it out, if I hit 1K plays I will put it up for download with a high quality .wav version (along side the 320kbps .mp3)

Fucking shit how does this thread have no replies?? This track is great! A more punchier kick, tight snare and some buzzing basslines would make this perfect!

m8 does obviously compress hard, OP compressed 4 lyfe.
It's good just over-compressed in my opinion, some things sound like they're clipping and have just been squished untill not clipping (overdrive or forms of distortion are also controlled clipping). (0.47, 3.01 as example)
From 2.45 I really start feeling the groove.

The types of kick, snare and basslines in the song are not meant to go hard like that.
This was an experiment in making an older sounding song. In the 70s you didn't have all the hardcore compression and other tools at your disposal.

Heh, actually there is little compression added to the song (see reason above.) The audio of the master was ran through a Ashly SC-68 EQ rack from the 80s to bring down the quality a bit and give it an older warmer sound.

as a "70s electro funky house hybrid thingy" I don't think it's quite nudisco.
it's an alright track, I just think it needs better flow to get that smooth nudisco track feel.
check out televisor's music and you'll see what I mean.
