Number Puzzle made by a 4 Year Old! - TheDubWubCub - Aug 23, 2014 Hello HF! 😁 So I use Dollar shave club & once a month they send you this little booklet that has interesting stuff in it, (puzzles, facts, random stuff). The one I recently got had a puzzle that was made by a 4 year old & I thought it was pretty cool & also thought you guys would like it too! 🤗 Try to solve it before looking up the answer haha, it took me about 20 minutes haha, but I was over-thinking it!🤮 Here it is: Spoiler (Click to View) Go ahead & post your thoughts & progress about this. 👍 If you liked this type of thread, check out these other ones! 🤗 Spoiler (Click to View) Have fun! 👍 * - javitribale - Aug 23, 2014 2+3=5 1+11=5 7+3=3 Less 5 minutes to solve;) * - segdeh - Aug 23, 2014 That's a good puzzle. Not too difficult to figure out. I think working with different bases is helpful. I have not checked the official answer, but I think I know how it works. I also got 5, 5, 3. This reminds me of one that is more difficult that I solved in a competiton. It is called "Decitroll" Here it is: BED97 CAF8DD = C96DD777AB DA9 DDD667 = ??? Post what you think the answer is. For an extra challenge, C98D7B * 89CA67 = ??? Good luck! 🎉 BTC: 12M3WnLnj8UZtZBK5WZjRo935dpz4DAbaq Donations Greatly Accepted * - Fafaffy - Aug 23, 2014 Being a programmer who is very familiar with base, I read the first 3 numbers (the top left, top right, and second-to-top-left) and figured it out. Wasn't hard. * - TheDubWubCub - Aug 23, 2014 (Aug 23, 2014 01:37 PM)javitribale Wrote: 2+3=5 (Aug 23, 2014 03:50 PM)Fafaffy Wrote: Being a programmer who is very familiar with base, I read the first 3 numbers (the top left, top right, and second-to-top-left) and figured it out. I found the source code of it, but I still can't seem to figure it out haha oh well, nice post! 😁 * - segdeh - Aug 23, 2014 Lol you are overthinking this.🤣 Not the same 'decitroll' I guess. The one I provided is extremely easy to solve compared to what you linked to. Keep working at it 👍 * - TheDubWubCub - Aug 23, 2014 (Aug 23, 2014 04:45 PM)segdeh Wrote: Lol you are overthinking this.🤣 Pretty sure it's the source code, but if you say so haha. My first thought was to convert letters to #'s (A=1,B=2,C=3...) but I realized that wasn't it... what I didn't realize at the time was that A didn't equal 1... it equaled 0 haha.
