Ports are stealthed, cannot port forward - melongod - Aug 26, 2014 So, I'm new here, and after some searching I've decided to open my own thread. I need to open a port for an application, but even after port forwarding through my router and modem, canyouseeme and other sites send back a connection time out error. I've turned off Windows firewall, made exceptions and rules in windows firewall and tried DMZ mode, nothing seems to work. The port I'm trying to use is 55621. Any advice? * - Freebooter - Aug 26, 2014 Welcome to Hack Forums, please next time for network questions create a thread at the "Networking, Routers, Switches, and Firewalls" section. Make sure the application or device configure to listen in coming connections on the 55621 port also while testing if the 55621 port is port forwarded correctly from canyouseeme website make sure the application or device is running. * - melongod - Aug 26, 2014 Doing so doesn't help. Any other ideas? * - Freebooter - Aug 26, 2014 (Aug 26, 2014 07:19 PM)melongod Wrote: Doing so doesn't help. I doubt this would help but who knows. * - santitart - Aug 26, 2014 Maybe the ports of your connection are open.. if not ask your isp to open them * - melongod - Aug 26, 2014 (Aug 26, 2014 10:14 PM)GL1TCH3D Wrote: Im assuming yes but have you reserved an internal IP for your computer? I'm thinking it has something to do with my router, as I can use everything BUT the app in question that runs through ports. (uTorrent, for example) ShiledsUp! showed all the ports as stealthed as well, which confuses me. |
