I can't purchase the game (from UK) and there are plenty of people playing it right now...
It says being released on the 5th of September.
Anyone able to help?

It is common that Americans get a game a few days before EU, however to be honest I don't know why UK has to wait one more day than others.
Basically you will just have to wait a couple days. Or maybe you can try buy it from a place were it has already been released (It have worked with Steam so I think it will also work for Origin). Anyway it is just a couple days, I think you will manage :)

They're different regions so it would not work.

I just checked on a CD key site and they say that Sims 4 is a region free game, or at least the keys they sell. So it could possible work :)
However I am not 100% sure, because there may actually be a problem. Since you are in EU it could be that the "account key system" (What ever it is called) would recognize you as an European meaning they may just make it a pre-order until release.
I can't tell for sure, unless of course I try myself. But at the moment I don't really have any intentions of buying Sims 4. Maybe you should wait a bit and see if there are someone else who have tried it :)

I heard it's terrible and a downgrade from TS3. I'm waiting for crack bc 60$ is too much for half finished game like this

I have and it's such a downgrade from TS3... they removed a lot of stuff but still you should try it it's newbie friendly

It's alright, keeps crashing for me at the moment though when i try to move out. The social aspect of it is pretty fun as you can do multiple things at the same time for example running on a treadmill and talk to your friend it depends how much you like Sims to be honest, but if you haven't played Sims 3 i'd say just go with Sims 3 for now.
