Moving forums to forums.php - Editing - Sep 3, 2014 Hi there, I'd like to do something where I have a splash screen of sorts, one that links to different links of the site, but also having a place to register right on the front. So as soon as you see domain.com, you can enter a username, password, and email, then if you don't want to register, you can click a button to go to forums.php If any of the items described above require extensive knowledge, I will pay for this work. Thank you! * - RTS - Sep 3, 2014 I could do this for you. PM me your Skype and lets get started. * - earthoX - Sep 3, 2014 Website developer here. Give me a message, will give you examples of my work. * - Editing - Sep 4, 2014 I'd still like some possible help with this, thanks! * - PAЯADOX - Sep 5, 2014 If you are still looking for help feel free to contact me * - Editing - Sep 14, 2014 Still looking, I'll shoot you a pm though, thanks! * - RTS - Sep 15, 2014 http://community.mybb.com/thread-116225.html Make a custom page and name it index. Rename your index.php (the forums) to forums.php. Then add your content inside the custom page. Or create a global template in ACP and then eval it in the new index.php along with header and footer. * - Editing - Sep 15, 2014 Thanks so much for this, doge! Gracias. "eval" it? I know a whole 0 PHP, and after 2 attempts with that URL - little luck. * - Rekd - Sep 15, 2014 1. Rename index.php to forums.php 2. Create a new file and name it index.php 3. Paste the following script into it.. Code <?php That will create a page with no body. 4. Go to ACP > Templates > Global Templates and create a new template named custompage 5. Put the content you want inside that template, you will need to know HTML to format it properly. 6. Update your index.php with the "custompage" template. Code <?php Now, it will have your content. |
