Starting with myBB Theme development - JumpWar - Sep 5, 2014
I started working on a theme for myBB 1.8. At first I made nice progress, changing some styles. Than I decided to do more and edited some templates. Now my index looks nice while everything else is screwed up.
The real problem though is that I feel I lack understanding of the concepts of myBB. I want to the add the users Avatar and tried to use {$user['avatar']} to get that and expected it to work, using it on the index template but I got nothing.
I also tried to define myself a variable to use in the templates. For that I just added some code to "forumdisplay.php" but this also did not behave like I expected.
Bottom line seems to be I have now idea how any of this works and I can't find a tutorial or documentation on it. Can anybody point me in the right direction?
