Android Root, Force any app to run as root? - xMoD - Sep 21, 2014 In the process of writing a script for SL4A (python), and I need root access. I wasnt sure how I would do this, and I was already having trouble using python in the first place! Now I have it working but I need root. Note: I cant run python from shell, with just python. I have to use QPython or something, as it doesnt work without. * - Y0ix - Sep 21, 2014 Root your android phone? What model do you have?????? * - Centuries - Sep 21, 2014 Yes Yoit root. Op - you musts make the app be granted by a super useraccount or program such as SuperSU Also the fact it won't read python execpt in another app is because a phone is a computer, reads only 0's and 1's you will need a way in your code for the phone to convert the python so the phone can read it. * - xMoD - Sep 21, 2014 I have my tablet rooted sillys... And I have supersu. What I was asking was how can a give root to an app that DOESNT ask for it. Like an app on windows, if it doesnt ask u can just right click > run as admin :P MORE IMPORTANT Instead how can I run su from a shell script ON ANDROID. I tried putting su at top of script, but it said permission denied. And even if im already running as root. If u dont understand its okay, just dont reply I have other options * - yayimamember - Sep 21, 2014 Maybe you can move it to system/app folder * - xMoD - Sep 22, 2014 Alright, ill see. Also, I have a better idea. Shell script to out nmaps output to file. Python to parse and get ips. But still having some issues with writing and such with the scripts... ill try a few things. Also, what about any directories where I would have read/write perms to?? I have partially solved this. I just run nmap from an .sh script. Which was hard enough, but I found where I can sort of write to afile. So i directed output to file. Then I use python to read from that file. (As I can read without root and such so its fine atm) Then get all ips from it and contiue with the leet haxing. :D |
