How do YOU protect yourself - ThePetty5 - Oct 9, 2014 Hay community, I just want to check out how the most of you are protecting themselves while doing illegal stuff in the world wide web. I don't expect anyone to tell me. But this question always seems very interesteing to me. Maybe I will tell you how I am protecting myself online, too. 🤝 * - Nakamoto - Oct 9, 2014 It's best not to tell anyone how you do the things that you do. * - ThePetty5 - Oct 9, 2014 I don't want to know which specific vpn, socks5, firewall or other kind of encryption you use. I'd just like to know whether you use anything of this or not. Is it unessecary to use this much protection in your opinion or wouldn't you even use any internet browser without knowing your that you are safe as f**** * - ryderstorm - Oct 9, 2014 Using public wifi hotspots helps. 👍 * - Nakamoto - Oct 9, 2014 (Oct 9, 2014 02:02 PM)ThePetty5 Wrote: I don't want to know which specific vpn, socks5, firewall or other kind of encryption you use. It's necesary to use protection whenever you do anything illegal. Barebacking with the Internet is a horrible idea. * - Bob White - Oct 9, 2014 Public/stolen/cracked wifi, stolen/hacked vpn clients, socks5, and/or those paid for in bitcoin. kill switch on a usb stick with a hotkey. detracing, fake doxes, and a few in real life tactics to avoid being tracked by conventional methods. yada yada. * - SIM-2053312 - Oct 9, 2014 Reverse proxy from bots could be good but it's not safe writing these things on public forums imo * - crazyycast13 - Oct 9, 2014 Look around the forums for ideas if you want to protect yourself (Oct 9, 2014 01:56 PM)Nakamoto Wrote: It's best not to tell anyone how you do the things that you do. /thread * - enae - Oct 11, 2014 using custom vpn, and of course public wifi :) * - SpaceKase - Oct 11, 2014 Custom VPN running off VPS paid for with bitcoin, TOR, Live-CD or separate windows VPS paid for with bitcoin, fake doxes (leave long trails to nowhere). Don't talk about your business with anyone you can't make face the consequences afterwards. Don't do illegal things? * - a323109 - Oct 11, 2014 First of all i dont do illegal things. But if i am going to do something which requires additional protections i'll do this way. When i am abroad like in sudamerica or somewhere i buy a smartphone under false name. Like....Mohamed Moham born in Syria in 1970 ecc I want it with international roaming, once i'm at home i extract the sim, put it into a modem i have, connect it to a laptop with no operating system installed, boot a live operating system with read only filesystem and start to whatever i want. At worst police can reach "Mohamed Moham born in Syria in 1970" but Mohamed does not exist. When i shudown my laptop the live system doesnt leave any clue. * - graymoon - Oct 11, 2014 (Oct 9, 2014 02:02 PM)ThePetty5 Wrote: I don't want to know which specific vpn, socks5, firewall or other kind of encryption you use. 8 to 10 years ago I've done piggyjacking. This term is not used, but is hacking only for the pleasure of penetrating and nothing more; no harm or change on the target. Now I abandoned but remeber how to don't leave traces. VPN + socks + mask Mac wifi/ethernet and hdd + change name of computer. Some of this things I do not remember the DOS commands ... * - Tokyo - Oct 11, 2014 I actually tend to use a condom. Usually protects me... Most of the time... (; * - JaimeLannister - Oct 11, 2014 I'm a big privacy advocate- people have a right to privacy and I feel that protecting yourself is not just for committing crimes (why should I have to deal with that sense that big brother is watching?). I would recommend Tor to most people (especially those with a limited knowledge of how the internet works in regard to privacy) b/c it is free and easy to use, but some sites won't let you connect to them through the Tor browser. In those instances I'd recommend a VPN+SOCKS5 (you could also use a cracked proxifier and throw SOCKS on Tor). And VPNs, while not free, are pretty cheap (just make sure it doesn't keep logs etc or you could just be essentially changing who watches you) and easy to connect to. You could also use putty to create an SSH tunnel to a VPS to create SOCKS proxy (this will also allow you to escape censorship if you are in a country that blocks certain websites); there are also other, more complex combinations of the above. * - Centuries - Oct 11, 2014 1 proxy vpn and some scripts not much but for what I do works |
