[Official] Omnicoin MyBB plugin development - SIM-2015410 - Oct 12, 2014
Hello everyone,
This is just a small update from the Omnicoin team. You may not have heard or seen any activity from us but we want you to know we are working hard behind the scenes with a few projects and ideas, and will never give up on the coin.
We are currently developing a plugin for MyBB forums which will allow an Omnicoin address to be added to your profile. Our aim is to eventually have full integration with the forum, with displayed balances and tipping, but this is the first step.
Omniscient has said that this plugin will be added to HF if it is up to his standards. This first step to more integration will be a huge booster for the coin.
There is also another project currently being worked on which was brought to us by another member, which we will not reveal until more progress is made.

The plugin is being tested on http://omnicoinforum.host22.com/index.php

I was about to buy it when the price went up to 50k.
But not having the award does not mean I cannot be part of the team.

There's no point in asking for an ETA because you never know what's going to happen.

Perhaps a week, but I am not sure, because none of the team have actually made a MyBB plugin before, so this is a new experience for us. As stated above, we never know what unforseen issues may arise during development which could hinder progress.
After development, the plugin then needs to be tested for bugs and security, before it could be added to HF.

Well that uncertainty is present in the Crypto market but not in the development of a plugin.

I am sure mybb has a ton of documentation to help you with any extra ordinary circumstances.

In order for the balances to be accurate there must be a blockchain which is constantly referenced as well as error checking to make sure that the displayed balance propagates properly if you were to tip somebody else. There are many things which will need to be tested and worked out before Omni pushes this out to a live version. All we can do is be patient and wait.

MyBB has terrible documentation, most of the variables you need in plugins (Like user data and the db handle) are almost completely undocumented.

I think that this plugin is a great idea, I will definitely always keep OMC on me so I can easily tip people and send money to friends easily.
