Skype GUI Re-design (Sign-in Screen) - Skylar™ - Oct 15, 2014

Hey guys, now that I have a beastly gaming computer I'm getting back into graphic design and I love it! I can let my imagination flow into Photoshop and not have to worry about my RAM or processor being too slow or not enough! I plan on creating a GUI re-design for the popular instant messaging network Skype. I only have the login screen done and I plan on completely re-doing every aspect of Skype's GUI. I know it isn't much but does this concept look fitting for Skype? I'll be updating this thread constantly until the project is complete.

It looks pretty damn neat, although I'm not a fan of rounded inputs, but rather 2-3px rounded inputs.

Looks nice, good job.

Thanks for the feedback so far guys, I'm actually considering changing the rounded rectangles radius since it's a dark themed GUI.

OP you should probably add a exit button, on the design

The point of a GUI re-design is to make the application look better in the artists opinion, I thought it would look better with a more modern dark GUI. It doesn't blue in it for a reason..

I've changed the image's textbox's to have a 3px radius, I plan on changing the sign-in button's radius as well when I get home from school.

You didn't really re-design the ui though, you just skinned it darker....

it's usually more important to fulfill the client than yourself. Unless you're into fine art.

It's not for a client.. Where'd you even read that it was? Don't criticize me for something that YOU thought.. Thanks for the 'feedback' though..
