looking input on a parallax scrolling idea - danno99 - Oct 26, 2014 Okay guys so here is the idea, there will be a couple of devices laid out on a table and the content has to scroll as you scroll down the page but the page has to move as well as the as the content on the devices so its just not the device content moving how would you guys go about it? * - brewery - Oct 26, 2014 I'm not exactly sure if you mean parallax in the sense that it is normally used, so if you are looking for the objects to move at different speeds I would suggest using either Stellar.js or maybe Wagerfield's Parallax. From what I understood you are looking for a fixed background, correct me if I'm wrong. If this is what you mean, then simply use Code background-attachment: fixed;* - firefusion - Oct 26, 2014 There is a load of Parallax Scrolling plugins for various different languages on GitHub. My first port of call would be to take a look at how others are doing it, pick it apart, think of ways to make it more efficient; and then attempt to manipulate it in your chosen language to what you need it for. I know this answer doesn't really help too much, but it's what I would do. https://github.com/search?utf8=%E2%9C%93&q=Parallax+Scrolling * - Sommmen - Oct 27, 2014 (Oct 26, 2014 01:37 PM)edgedev Wrote: I'm not exactly sure if you mean parallax in the sense that it is normally used, so if you are looking for the objects to move at different speeds I would suggest using either Stellar.js or maybe Wagerfield's Parallax. i think he wants a website which can be accessed by several devices at once, and if one scrolls the other devices scroll with him. (so if you got 6 tv's setup next to each other you can make it act like one big screen). i've never really heard about anything that would be capable of this but i'm sure its out there. i googled a bit but couldn't find anything specifically for websites :/.. * - danno99 - Oct 28, 2014 (Oct 27, 2014 02:03 AM)Sommmen Wrote: i think he wants a website which can be accessed by several devices at once, and if one scrolls the other devices scroll with him. Theres a company I was working with for a while they're realeasing a new app, i just want the content to move up/down on all the screens as you scroll up and down. I came up with the idea but didnt know how to put it into practice. This is the promo video if it helps |
