Finding out an Identity via licence plate number - Sonder - Nov 1, 2014
Just as the title describes, I would like to know how it would be possible for me to find out how someone can find out who someone is just by there licence plate number.
The reason being is that last night, (on Halloween) one of my friends got ran off the road by some women who was driving reclassify with children in the car. She has to go a police lineup to identify but thinks she will not be able to correctly identify.
Any tips anyone can offer?

If your friend didn't get a good enough view to be confident about who it was why are they asking him/her to pick someone out of a lineup?
I would imagine that there is some database with licence numbers to registered names, not sure if normal citizens would have access to it though...

You would be surprised that even license plate information can be found online. An old trick I use to use back in the day was searching Government Smog check sites for the plate. Not only would they say if the car passed or not, often the website would list the smog shop that serviced the car or VIN # of the car. Then I would search on the VIN # for more details and/or ask the smog shop for the vehicle owner's information.

Multiple ways to do this one way involves dealerships but since Im greedy with methods im not gonna explain how.

Found some sites online tho they all ask for money and seem a bit sketchy.
