How to introduce myself to hacking - jantheman - Nov 8, 2014
i'm just looking for a method to go through that would teach me some of the basics of common hacking. some of the really basic stuff at this point. i've looked over the tutorial section in the forums and couldn't find anything i might find useful, so if it turns out there is a thread about this sort of stuff i would appreciate a redirect. otherwise, do tell about other resources to get me started.

i have dabbled in ratting a bit (managed to get some poor guy to download IMG_040.exe.jpg and got lucky enough that he didn't even have anti-virus). though i didn't really have any practical use for what i would use the RAT for and it was more meant as just a messing around thing.
as for the hacking stuff, i was looking for something that could show me different beginner areas of hacking and i could choose which one i'd like to pursue.

You can start with basicly anything that would entertain you while doing it, be it scripting or some stuff.

Well I can offer you to start with websites hacking. Check the forum for SQL injection and XSS

Learn networking, some scripting or programming. Just generally learn about computers and it will come to you.
