Belkin WiFi repeater causing internet to disconnect ever 30 mins - Root Of All Evil - Nov 8, 2014 I have a Belkin WiFi repeater that has been causing my wifi to disconnect around every 30 minutes for a few seconds (I do not have this problem when I am not using the repeater but my connection is very slow, I have tried to fix it by playing with the settings but it has not helped. Has anyone had any problems with this in the past and is able to help me with this? * - desynk - Nov 8, 2014 Wifi runs off of radio signals. Make sure there is no interference. Almost anything can cause interference like walls, floors, microwaves, cordless phones, baby monitors, speakers, other electronics etc etc. Try to move it to a more central location. If you can do a factory reset on it, or update the software/firmware do that too. If the problem still persists after all of that then most likely it's going to come down to a hardware issue and it'll have to be replaced. * - Mr. Miyagi - Nov 8, 2014 I had this issue with my old isp which gave us a belkin router. When we switched to FIOS the issue went away so i'm gunna guess that it could be belkin or like desynk said it could also be interference. * - Root Of All Evil - Nov 8, 2014 (Nov 8, 2014 04:27 PM)UDP. What is FIOS and how do I switch to it? * - Aura - Nov 8, 2014 OP, just to say that routers, firewalls, repeaters, modems, networking, etc. issues goes in the Networking, Routers, Switches, and Firewalls section. Just saying because I think it's the second time that you post a networking-related issue here alright ? 🙂 You'll receive much better assistance for your issue in that section anyway. * - Hoodstazy - Nov 12, 2014 Did you already try to change your Channel in your settings? It may help to change it, had the same issue. * - CCJAD - Nov 12, 2014 I know it sounds silly but make sure you don't have your device configured so that it will boot your device offline every 30 minutes. I had the same problem with my Belkin wireless router before |
