Arts Section - Grayson :) - Nov 23, 2014
Since have a photography forum, and I was wondering if we could possibly add an art sub-forum or even change the Photography forum into an "Arts & Photography" forum, since we really don't have a place for art (that's not graphics).

I'm sure I've seen art in the graphics section? Not really sure if it's necessary to create a whole new sub-section for it, you couldn't just use the Graphics section?

Graphics and Art are different(Graphics are a section of art, technically). Graphics are computer generated, which kind of limits the section to just that. Even a sub forum in the graphics section would be a good place for an arts section.

The graphics section is essentially an art section. fbn used to fill that role, but since then there only remain a few active artists on the forum, most of whom reside in the Rate my Graphic section - if you've ever visited that section, you'd know it's not solely for forum graphics.

I agree, this should be put into place. There are a lot of threads in the graphics section that would fit a lot better in here.

To conform to writing, we could make it "Literature, Arts, & Photography" if we really needed to. But I like the idea of that.

Could you link a single one? Graphic design is a form of art, which is an ambiguous term anyways. There's no need for a new section.

This would both open it to embody all forms of art (which it in a sense already does) as well as get rid of the numerical rating system that so many use to raise post count.

Yes. Just fucking flat out ban any numeric rating system. It's only used by people who don't know shit about graphics but want to boost their post count.
