Don't know what kind of virus or what this is... - spidermat1 - Nov 24, 2014 Whenever I open google chrome up on startup it redirects me to a site called GamezDoka. I already reset chrome. Is this a RAT or adware or what? * - Strayta - Nov 24, 2014 It's probably just a toolbar of some sort. Go the ought your extensions/toolbars and delete any silly looking ones * - hugsyou - Nov 24, 2014 It could be a lot of things man. Looks over this https://support.google.com/chrome/answer/2765944?hl=en Have you downloaded anything from there or youtube recently? * - spidermat1 - Nov 24, 2014 (Nov 24, 2014 04:28 AM)hugsyou Wrote: It could be a lot of things man. My anti virus (Malware Bytes) says I have no Virus or anything. And I ran that checker and it says no malware found, and I already reset my browser. Found this in msconfig https://gyazo.com/7786a7bf752a2cd7c3afae499b16ce13 Do you think disabling it will solve the problem? * - AAE32 - Nov 24, 2014 (Nov 24, 2014 04:44 AM)spidermat1 Wrote: My anti virus (Malware Bytes) says I have no Virus or anything.Malwarebytes isnt an antivirus but an antimalware. Please run adw cleaner and JRT This will fix your issue. Also save your logs in so aura can take a look at them later. Ah i cant post links.. just search on google for those tools. * - Aura - Nov 24, 2014 (Nov 24, 2014 04:44 AM)spidermat1 Wrote: My anti virus (Malware Bytes) says I have no Virus or anything. This is called an Adware, but more precisely a browser hijacker. It's not a RAT of any sort. Malwarebytes is an Antimalware, not an Antivirus. Read this : [The Brotherhood] Anti-Viruses VS Anti-Malwares : The differences by Aurа Therefore, I strongly suggest you to install an Antivirus once all this is over. And yes the entry you posted is suspicious and should be disabled, but more than, it should be deleted. Also, I cannot check logs anymore so someone else will have to assist the OP. * - AAE32 - Nov 24, 2014 OP i could help you to get rid of that adware just pm me with your skype and i will help you out :) * - Raiever - Nov 24, 2014 @Aura, No log reading? @Spider, I can help you out with this through skype or teamviewer in your free time. Let me know via pm. |
