If you would like to skip my story and get to the raw feedback, just skip down to "Feedback." However, there is some slight feedback within the stories of my time on the site.

The Early Days

When I first came to this site, I was a thirteen-year-old squeaker who was obsessed with Minecraft. Like many other players of the time, I was looking to gain an advantage over others by "hacking." A queer term for someone who knew little about computers to use, but nonetheless I went to YouTube and typed in "Minecraft Hacking." For those of you who don't play Minecraft, this was practically the golden age of Minecraft clients, before there was anything mainstream to patch certain aspects of them. While I was sifting through the hundreds of videos and trying to avoid viruses, I kept seeing links and references to a shady site called "HackForums." I was put off by the name at first, obviously anyone who hacks is a criminal and should be avoided at all costs. I just assumed that this site was full of some badass hackers, but I was off by a longshot. However, I eventually searched up hackforums on YouTube and stumbled across this channel, somehow persuading my young mind to join the site.
When I joined the site, I headed straight to the "Griefing" subforum in the Minecraft section. The section was a cesspool to say the least; it was as terrible as it is now, but it was still bad back then. Like many members, I downloaded hacked clients, posted help as if I knew something, and tried to enjoy myself. I was shy and afraid of some of the "greats" that were in that section, so I rarely posted for the first month or two of my time there. However, after that second month I began to open my eyes to the rest o HF.

Months 3 - 11

These months were my glory days. I never grew into a prominent member like some, but I was decently known around the forum I would think. In months 3-6 I began to open up to members and help around certain forums, mainly in the minecraft sections and innuendo. I was a nice member, slightly asskissing as most members do at some point. All positive rep, no negative rep. Hell, I was even invited into 143 at some point during this time, marking the highlight of my Hackforums career. I frequently refer to that group even now, I miss 143 with a burning passion. That subforum was my home and my family for quite awhile. However, around August or September of 2012 I began to have a "rebellious phase." I was tired of seeing prominent members acting like assholes towards everyone (Fuck Bellagio) and I began to speak out against them. I was kicked out of 143 by Daisy for a few days due to a slight misunderstanding (She thought I was being rascist; I wasn't), but I was invited back in. While I continued to help members who needed help with emotions and things related to that in the innuendo subforum, I also began to actively voice my opinion where others just asskissed. My hatred was mainly aimed at Xerotic (Terrible mentor at that point in time IMO) and the Illuminati usergroup (Full of a bunch of elitist asshats who thought there status on the site meant something). I began to speak out on the Illuminati thread (Not so much thread-bashing, but in a way I could see it) and I built up a kind of reputation for being an "annoying, infected asswipe" as Omni went on to call me at a later point in time. Here, I began to get my first negative reps and I began to not care about rep any longer. At the same time as all of this, I created this this thread with the help of many Hackfroums members. While I received help from other members, the bulk of this thread relied on about a month of research through old posts, the chronicles, interviews, etc. Previously, there was no documentation of old groups as there is currently on D3xus's thread, so it took awhile. This was probably my greatest contribution to HF and one of the two things I'm truly proud of.

Months 11-15

During this time I continued to update the groups thread and I continued to speak out against members that I thought were acting wrong, but I no longer got as much hate for it. In fact, I actually got some appreciation for it. However, my downfall soon came with the downfall of Hackercraft v1 (or v2, I forget). On the one that Dan. ran, I helped to get him removed from administrator with the members of the CHAD faction. CHAD caught Dan. cheating and helping bugga and her faction, but bugga was a staff member on HF at the time and kept removing posts. Being the little shit I was (am?) I made a thread with proof I compiled from the old thread and posted it here, informing her that it broke no rules whatsoever. This was finally closed by Omni and he took action. I don't remember the actual outcome, but shortly after Dan. resigned or was fired and bugga resigned from staff. If bugga's resignation and vacation ban had anything to do with that, I would like to apologize to her now. While I now realize Dan. was the best admin the HC server has seen, I still show no remorse for that. However, his firing came back to bite me in the ass a month or two later. With no decent staff members running the server, it began to go downhill. I forget what my thread on the matter stated, but I just stated everything that was wrong with the server. Omni was new to the game, I showed no hate to him in the original post. He then replied to it criticizing certain aspects of it. I corrected what he said and showed him how it was wrong, and he RF'd me. I thought "wow, a RF. Is that really how you want to play Omni?" and then I voiced my actual criticism to him and his server. The posts have since been deleted, but I said something along the lines of "You're a money hungry and letting your server go to shit. You are not listening to any member suggestions and this is causing many members to leave. Step up your game or have someone else help you run the server, because you obviously can't." I don't remember any other aspect of his next post except that he called me an "annoying, infected asswipe" and stated that my account would be closed after he refunded me for ub3r and l33t. My posting privileges were suspended so I PMd a few members to say goodbye and to let them know why I was closed. HC was supposed to be separate from HF, but I was the first victim to suggest otherwise. Omni refunded me and my account was closed. During the same time as my altercation with Omni I went through a traumatic life event that few know of, causing me to be more hostile.

Months 16-26

After my closure, I was quiet for a month or two. Eventually I was banned on Hackercraft since I Omni hated me and I cut all ties with HF. However, I began to miss the site and did anything to get in contact with Omni. While Omni knows of these means and has unclosed my account anyway, I will leave out the majority of the details due to the majority of post-2012 members being idiots who think they're the next top staff member or some shit. However, all of these methods failed me but I eventually emailed Omni asking him to be unclosed. After a bunch of emails and asskissing the hell out of Omni (I even wrote him a poem ffs), he eventually replied to one of my questions using the contact form. He said the ordeal was behind him so I asked him why I was still closed. He replied with "Your account isn't closed though. I opened it months ago. Maybe you just didn't notice." I knew this was a lie since I checked two days ago, but hey I wasn't complaining! After nealy a year of asskissing I was allowed back on the site. 🎉

Months 26-Present

Since my return to Hackforums I've been rather quiet compared to my previous stay. I post here and there, but HF doesn't have the same vibe that it used to. My only reason that I wanted to return was to try and get into 143 again, but the group was practically dead upon my return and wasn't the same. The majority of old members I enjoyed seeing around the forum barely post, and the post-2012 members are primarily composed of idiots, trolls, or people who have sticks shoved way to far up there asses. I love the forum itself, but with the members there's no more joking or anything that made me love HF. I've gotten into three groups since my return, all of which I'll post below. Since my return I've just been following the wind so to say. I'm looking for some people to just talk to and get to know, but so far I haven't found a place. I still tend to call out members as I did with Robust in the HC section as well as Vinnie when a member claimed that he scammed.

Feedback

Groups: I'm not going to make this fancy by showing a bunch of userbars, you all know the group names.
Groups I have been a part of:

143 - In my opinion, it was the best group to ever take part in this site. They had a purpose and they followed through with it, helping many members and even saving some from inactivity. No group will ever be able to match this one.

Nexus - I was a part of the Minecraft Sector ran by Bandors. It had no organization whatsoever but it was fun.

L'appel du vide - Good groups, enjoyed some debates but I was mainly a lurker. I didn't deserve to be in it.

Titans - Fun group, but we're inactive currently due to reason that I will not disclose to the public.

Current Hackforums Groups:

Null- It's full of knowledgeable members from what I can tell, but I don't see them around too much. I just don't browse forums where they post, I think.

Enterprise - I thought Astonish would have rebranded it by now, but it's only a matter of time. While I don't know too much about it, I hear it actually pretty good.

Specialists - Good group. They're active and they contribute all over the place. I had mixed opinions at first, but I like them now.

Red Lions - They have fallen from their grace. Contributing large sums of money to Omni does nothing for the rest of us, Omni makes a bunch of money from us anyways. It's full of HQ members, but it's an inactive group that has done nothing since I've arrived.

Nightfall - Gaming group that seems like fun, but the majority of members that represent the userbar are trolls.

Zero - I just want to see this group change already. I have seen nothing from them.

Polymath - I like what you guys do, but I have no idea what your purpose is. The stuff that I see is cool and the majority of members seem decent, but there is always some bad apples so to say.

Studio - You guys are like a shitty reincarnation of Rhythm. If you can one day get to what they were then kudos to you, but from the outside I see nothing special.

The Revolution - I had no idea what to expect at first but you guys seem to be doing swell. Keep up the good work.

Phoenix - I like some of your threads, but just like studio you guys are just a shitty reincarnation of 143. Don't get me wrong, I like what you guys do, but you'll never live up to the prestige of 143.

The Brotherhood - Good group. I know you guys contribute but I've been inactive so I haven't seen it too much.

All in all, the new groups are 10x shittier than the old groups. Groups used to have meaning, but now they're just used as an investment. One thing that the majority of people don't realize is that there's group politics on the site. It's always been this way, but I've recently come to the realization of this after talking to some old leaders and such. It basically works by leaders exchanging spots in their groups to other leaders for good publicity and another userbar next to their name. It's not as bad as it once was, but it's certainly still around.

Members:
As with most forums, the member-base changes over time. Throughout my three years here I've seen a variety of good members come and go. Some just go inactive as a result of losing interest in the site while some just stop giving a shit and end up getting closed. While there is certainly still some good, HQ (in my opinion at least) members here the majority of members tend to be pretty LQ. Everybody just stops caring at some point or another; they realize that others opinions mean nothing to them. Also, over the years, the status of Ub3r has dwindled and respect is based on the member rather than the userbar. I am grateful for this as I'm too poor to afford ub3r. Another thing is there need to be more HQ members to balance out the LQ ones. Finally, and as stupid as it sounds, people have to stop bandwagoning and dickriding one another. It's always been a thing on HF, but recently it has gotten so much worse.

Staff
Mentors: Some do their job, some don't, but they definitely benefit the site.
Staff and Admins: Do a good job for the most part, but over the years there has been some ridiculous bans. There's not much to say, they do their job even if they're in the shadows most of the time.

Omni: We've had our ups and downs, but overall you're a good guy. However, you let your personal feelings get too involved with the site. You've banned countless members over the years for simply proving you wrong or telling you off. This is a business, is it not? Business's get bashed every now and then, you should learn to deal with it instead of ignoring it.

Shoutouts:
Cody & Daisy - You guys ran a great group that I loved. RIP 😭
Yellows - Cool guy and he suggested me for 143. Haven't talked to him in awhile.
Cubs - Played MC with you back in the day, but haven't talked in awhile. Hmu sometime.
Clique - Great member and a cool guy to talk to.
Froggy - Rarely talk to you, but you're a great and helpful member to everyone.
Sh1eld - Bought me l33t this time around
Bandors - He's funny I guess

10/10 bashed Omni would read again.

You're like 14, your opinions aren't even taken into consideration therefore you have wasted your time writing this thread, your feedback isn't feedback, it's more of a story of how you joined the forum and how you got closed, I'm also remotely sure you mentioned that you had to suck the fart out of omniscients chair to get back on Hackforums.

Well done, you have successfully passed life. Spoiler (Click to View)

I'm 16 Vinnie, get it right now. Feedback is at the bottom and it consists of member feedback and group feedback, just like every thread on the site.
Almost every feedback thread has a story on it, why so mad Vinnie?

I don't feel like it is either, but he has stated that on countless occasions.

"Time Spent Online: 1 Month, 3 Weeks, 6 Days, 1 Hour, 38 Minutes, 49 Seconds"

I'm active on the site, but I mainly just lurk anymore. You don't need to be active to see how a site works and give feedback on it, though.

Obviously, explaining your time on the forums is a part of feedback.
It puts my stay here into perspective and provides some slight feedback.

If you don't like it you can simply fuck off. 🤝

If you actually mean "Great feedback" then I would like to apologize for being so hostile.
I thought you were just being completely sarcastic, my mistake Pali.

Very sorry for the confusion.
I was and still am being very sarcastic.
