Visual Basic Tutorials #1 Hello World Program! [ Tutorial For Noobs ] - Swagalistic Meow - Dec 9, 2014 Visual Basic Tutorial#1 Hello World. To create a Hello World Program you'll need your form and one button Double Click the button And Type Messagebox.Show ("Hello World") or simple way MsgBox ("Hello World") That's how you create a hello world program on vb.net :) * - markzuckerberg - Dec 9, 2014 ok thanks you helped me it is so useful i will use this later 😏 * - Corios - Dec 9, 2014 They should be starting in a console application, not a windows form. Don't use MsgBox. This isn't a tutorial, you didn't actually explain anything. What does 'Message' do (that isn't even a thing, or at least this context), and how does it do it? Why does double clicking the button make it magically work? * - Cookie.Monster - Dec 9, 2014 Agree with Corios, if you're going to do beginner tutorials, start with console applications. Windows forms are a bit more advanced if you don't use all these automated helping tools. Also explain what you do, and why you do it. Don't learn people to c+p, learn them to code. * - $lick - Dec 9, 2014 ![]() Good job OP, you failed with the most simple tutorial. * - alma143 - Dec 9, 2014 hi sir, can you include latest installer vb? thanks in advance, this is informative on newbie like me :) * - Image™ - Dec 9, 2014 OP, good tutorial for the beginners but you messed up on one part lol. Messagebox.Show("YOUR TEXT HERE") * - Cookie.Monster - Dec 9, 2014 (Dec 9, 2014 06:38 AM)alma143 Wrote: hi sir, God man please: lmgtfy(DOT)com/?q=Visual+studio+2013 You could also just google how to call a messagebox. Microsoft would give you a much more detailed description of parameters and such. * - Odus - Dec 9, 2014 (Dec 9, 2014 06:42 AM)The Buster Wrote: OP, good tutorial for the beginners What are you talking about? This is an awful tutorial. He's teaching the newbies an incredibly bad habit. * - Nervo - Dec 9, 2014 (Dec 9, 2014 06:45 AM)Odus Wrote: What are you talking about? This is an awful tutorial. He's teaching the newbies an incredibly bad habit. Not just bad habit, his code doesn't even work. Besides, posting tutorial like this is pretty much pointless since this can be found on google in a second. |
