[AngularJS | Java | HTML] How to maintain and update this type of website easily? - nOrr - Dec 21, 2014

Hi guys

How would you update and maintain a website that is build using AngularJS (etc.) as frontend and Java as backend?

I have a firm idea of how to set up a static website with dynamic content using AngularJS, but what if I want to change the name of a menu item, or change some layout of the website? I don't want to edit all the HTML pages needed.

I could use Java to generate the HTML needed, which would allow me to "construct" a website using "components" so to say, but I have a feeling there might be a better way...

Have you looked into the Spring Framework?

Spring is a pretty big framework, and no I haven't looked into all of it, but how could it help me easily modify the content of a single webpage for instance? Or change the link in a menu item to a new location (that should be changed for all pages on the entire site)?

You need to change your signature from "Java programming professional" to something else my friend.
There are a few different ways to do this. Templating seems to be the easiest

I get paid to develop backend programs and the like in Java. This means, for your informaiton "my friend", that I'm a Java programming professional. That doesn't mean I'm an expert in every single aspect of development that has some connection to Java.

You would know if you were in the field.

If you're here to boost your ego or enlarge your e-peepee, please gtfo of my thread.

I thought up one way to solve this issue, enabling me to update the content without re-deploying the entire website, while taking a bath. If anyone want to contribute with more ideas, please feel free. :)
