Login dual users (with dual monitors) - Imperious1 - Dec 28, 2014 I want to allow a friend to use my second monitor remotely via RDP. Is there any way I could login to two windows accounts at once (one on each monitor), and allow my friend to connect to windows account #2 via RDP while I am on windows account #1? I also have another idea of leaving both logged in and just letting him use it while I'm on mine (with mine on both monitors) via RDP but there is one problem with it so far, to do what he would want to do he needs admin access and that would mean all of my files are accessible...I know I could disallow this with permissions but the account I made for him doesn't appear correctly, there is two "Unknown {NUMBERS-NUMBERS-NEIFHIRHNUMBERS} accounts and I assume one of them is it but I don't know which one. My fear is if I disable permissions on these folders that it might mess up mine due to me not knowing account is which. Lastly for informational purposes my account shows up fine but I don't know what these Unknown ones might be and I'm afraid if I disable some permissions on one it could have an effect on my admin account. If neither of these work what are some other options for this? * - Aura - Dec 28, 2014 This isn't possible to do under Windows, sorry. It can be done under Windows Server (RDP and main login), but that's it. * - Imperious1 - Dec 28, 2014 (Dec 28, 2014 06:48 PM)Aurа Wrote: This isn't possible to do under Windows, sorry. Dual login? Dual login along with one person on a monitor and the other on the other monitor isn't possible. Well, the whole idea. * - PloxSource - Dec 29, 2014 I would suggest that you buy two computers with two monitors, put the monitors next to each other and call them "Dual Monitor". But yes this isn't possible but seriously, if you want it to look like dual login and dual monitor, do what i said above (Friends will be amazed :) ). * - ff666 - Dec 29, 2014 you can have Concurrent Remote Desktop Sessions - is that what you are looking for ? google "windows 7 concurrent users" the 2nd result from sambapos.com explains * - Aura - Dec 29, 2014 (Dec 29, 2014 01:07 PM)ff666 Wrote: you can have Concurrent Remote Desktop Sessions - is that what you are looking for ? This "trick" that you're talking about isn't legal by the way. http://www.nextofwindows.com/how-many-concurrent-connections-allowed-to-access-a-windows-7-computer/ http://www.nextofwindows.com/how-to-enable-multiple-concurrent-user-in-remote-desktop-windows-7/ |
