So i'm 99% you can't do this anymore but couldn't you lightning spell a gem box then it would take it away? If so did you get the 25 gems or did it just take it away?
I never knew if this was all true, if so why did they take it away?

Nah this was a troll. Some big clashers started this rumor and some posted videos to yt for "proof." You could never actually destroy it.

I heard about this when I was beginning Clash of Clans. Later on I found out the hard way that it was a troll. Only way I had to make sure was try it a few times and when I found out it wasn't true I kind of felt like a clown. I did so happen to troll my best friend into doing it and later on he caught on and he said I was an ass for it. I have to admit it was funny how youtubers started this.
