[Hardware] How to learn more about hardware hacking? - _Wozniak_ - Jan 17, 2015 I really want to get into some of it. I am already, but I am curious about things that I dont hear a lot about. Like opening an xbox 360, and reusing some of it some how. Perhaps like the fans, or the more fascinating parts. Taking a part everyday things, and making them do better, or unexpected things altogether! I know about sites like HackADay, but still not good enough. Is it possible to take something apart, remove the power button for example, and make it turn on from an RF signal instead without any programming? Of course programming isnt the problem, I can do that, but I dont want to use external/3rd party devices like the arduino (I do have one). Just simple to more complex circuit bending? Its hard to explain all what Im looking for, but looking at some points above maybe someone can help me find some places to learn. Or maybe I should just take a college course in Hardware/etc. Though then I wouldnt be able to learn other courses and what not about Ethical Hacking and other forms of security like reverse engineering! Im so all over the place... I found a great (from the look of it) course of Hardware Security. Maybe not all I wanted, but it seems to be good enough. :) * - Linux™ - Jan 18, 2015 OP you may want to move this question to here concerning hardware, and electronics. PS you can't close the thread, nor have a mod/admin do it for you. But here's the right forum: IoT, Embedded Systems, Electronics, Gadgets, and DIY Gadgets and embedded devices(For things like your Arduino. Or perhaps try the computing forum for your Xbox 360. * - _Wozniak_ - Jan 18, 2015 (Jan 18, 2015 12:44 AM)BlackArch Wrote: OP you may want to move this question to here concerning hardware, and electronics. So I posted here, since its still hacking But okay |
