Legal terms? - Sogomn - Jan 26, 2015

Hey. Is anyone familliar with the legal terms of RATs? As long as nobody takes damage, is it a crime to deplay software on a PC? And doesn't the victim "aggree" with the program at the point of execution?

Hey
I don't know but many government use the RATs.
If you use or create RATs but you use just in education this is not problem.

The problem begins when you send the RAT to a bank :)

If the person that is being RATted is unaware of it, you are commiting a crime.

RAT's aka Remote Administration Tools are used to remotely control other computers (Very self explainable).
There are many legal ways that RAT's are used that are beneficial. Team Viewer is a Remote Administration Tool, but the things you can do on it are limited compared to what you could do with a Dark Comet RAT.

Using a RAT on someone else without their permission and they're unaware that you have RATTED them, that would be defined as illegal, and then you could get in trouble for it.
As long as you're safe, and not retarded X 10, you shouldn't really have to worry TOO much about getting in trouble.
